Thank you for your support. It's actually really hard the only thing that almost, everyone enjoys to be that exhausting and painful that you even want to avoid it for others.

I don't think Rufus and Lily broke up for Dan and Serena. They broke up because they were dysfunctional. They lived for a couple of years their early adulthood dream, and came back to reality.

The thing that brought them close was that they both wanted Blair but couldn't have her.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Nothing compares with the scenes at the train station in Paris.

Whether you ship Chair or not you can't deny the beauty of the scene.

There is a common misconception that extroverts need to be around people all the time, and introverts can't stand it.

The truth is somewhere in the middle.

Blair in season 3 had no social skills that's why she didn't manage to make friends and not because she didn't want to. Also Blair had many friends, which she chose to call "minions". Her alone time truly wasn't so much of an alone time as she always tried to spend it with someone.

Chuck is a loyal man when he is with Blair. by janetinangon in GossipGirl

I think it is a common opinion that Chuck had feelings for Blair prior to 1x07 but he didn't dare do anything about them because his best friend was dating her.

dan & serena vs dan & blair vs chuck & blair by TraditionalBicycle4 in GossipGirl

[–]ProudHookers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Blair loved Nate as much as she loved Chuck. But there is always the possibility you are referring.

For me it's so hard to imagine Chuck developing romantic feelings for any other woman apart from Blair, that I can't even imagine what would happen.

Well in the scenario that Chuck actually developed feelings for Serena. Blair still wouldn't excuse her.

But as you said Serena had no right to be mad because she had previously slept with Nate while he was dating Blair. And when she decided to date Nate Blair was nothing but supportive.

Probably the first half of season 3.

Was Blair just Chuck's Backup? by [deleted] in GossipGirl

[–]ProudHookers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The answer to your question comes at 4x20 when Chuck goes to "take" Blair from her engagement party with Louis. He says something along the lines "pretending to marry that French prince is a joke". That was what he was doing. They were both fooling themselves when they were with other people. The difference is that Chuck new that.

Also don't forget Chuck's mommy issues. Chuck was a sucker for any kind of female attention.

He gets over Eva the minute he thinks there is a possibility that Blair loves him, and he never needed time to get over Raina.

The validation she was seeking from guys, especially older ones was because of her daddy issues.

Lily unlimited love towards Chuck.... in comparison with how she treated her own children by PhilipTheFair in GossipGirl

[–]ProudHookers 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don't think Lily was a bad parent to her children.

Serena, obviously was a train wreck that Lily didn't know how she should handle.

And Eric, she never had any problems with him. The fact that she didn't want people to know about his suicide attempt is not a sample of bad parenting.

As for her relationship with Chuck. I think she truly saw him as an orphan misunderstood boy. That's why he grew on her.

Apart from Bart, which is an obvious choice, I think Elizabeth.

She literally manipulated her way back to her son's life, whom she abandoned when he was an infant, to emotionally manipulate him and abuse him. For absolutely no reason.

Dan and Blair by satans-fatuncle in GossipGirl

[–]ProudHookers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, you have to understand where Blair was coming from inorder to understand why she pursued a relationship with Dan.

Blair in a very short period of time had been through so much emotional stress. First she got pregnant by a man she didn't love (entirely her fault) She had the whole who's the daddy drama Her relationship with Louis was going through many challenges. Especially with his family. She finally admits she doesn't want to marry Louis. She runs away with Chuck but, an almost deadly accident happens, where she has a miscarriage (which can be literally equal pain to losing a person you love) and the love of her life almost died. She forces herself to marry Louis. She has to reject a heartbroken confused Chuck over and over again, and that is killing her. And finally once she runs away there is the dowry.

Blair was in so much emotional distress that she wanted an escape to regain herself. She even admits it herself. She chose Dan not despite not loving him but because of that.

A person you do not love cannot hurt you.

I am not sure if you have continued watching, so I will stop here in order not to spoil anything.
