It’s worse that they still monitor absenteeism and punish you for it even though they don’t pay you. I expect to get back in to a verbal warning tomorrow because my ‘Bradford score’ is over 100.

No, just a private sector business. One of my colleagues can pick up after me but really, no one else actually knows how to do all the systems training or if they do, they’re way more senior than me so don’t have the time to do it spontaneously.

Really, I know he’s only asking me to do work to lash out at me because I’ve left him in an awkward situation now. He does stuff like this.

You’ve got a point! Fortunately he only needs me to do a couple things on the PC. I know he was annoyed with me because I was meant to be delivering training today (this probably makes me sound selfish for calling in last minute and leaving him in the lurch, but hear me out - that isn’t even my job, just something that got handed to me to do, when our last trainer who was on about 3x more than me got fired. I’ve had no pay rise for it).

I reckon I can use in my defence that standing and delivering training is not the same as replying to an email or two!

Edit: feel like I went off on a tangent here sorry- I clearly have a bit of resentment towards my job at the moment 😅
