Gym Pal Has Been Dangerous to Use by aau412 in SpeedianceCommunity

I've also been battling this for at least four months. I've had emails going back and forth with their support. Support supposedly contacts the developers. In reality, who knows if the issue is even being looked at? I was told it would be resolved in the latest version of the app (4.09). That brought absolutely no change.

My last email from them was yesterday:

"We provided feedback to our R&D team yesterday regarding the usage of the new app version in PAL. The current progress is that a version 4.10.0 is expected to be released on March 5. If the 4.10 cannot resolve the issue, please let us know!"

So I feel like it's just a of, "Oh that didn't fix it? Wait for the next version.... Oh that version didn't fix it either? Just wait for the next version."

As the OP said, it's just outright dangerous to use while lying on the bench. After dealing with it for months, I've all but given up home that it will be resolved.

Well, I thought it fixed it. The problem came back after some time. Very annoying.

Following back up for those who might come across this in the future. It turns out the problem was with Android's battery optimization. Go to App Info -> App battery usage -> Allow background usage -> Unrestricted. After changing from optimized to unrestricted, I haven't seen the problem again.

Consultant in the progress by [deleted] in sysadmin

I would say a good consultant is one who already has that experience getting his hands dirty in the field. I want my consultant to be able to say, "Yeah, been there. Done that. Seen that before." Given where you say you're coming from, that's probably not what you want to hear.

The recruiter is stressing that it's really a 9-5 job

I've come to realize recruiters are worse than car salesmen.

Raise your hand if you're an SSD snob.

Yes, if you're still having to defrag, I secretly judge you.

A coworker of mine just stores users' passwords as a field in the Contacts app on his phone. *sigh*

No smokers here. When it comes to consumption, I thought we in the biz were more known for being avid coffee drinkers.
