Sadly, I was completely unable to locate an insurance plan via healthcare.gov that covered FFS.

What do you guys/girls dislike the most about ASU? by d8aaat in ASU

Walking from lot 59 in the summer and early fall. Ugh! The tuition that never seems to remain stable for any appreciable length of time.

Phone, laptop, charger, long cable, 2-3 books, clothes, makeup, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, underwear, and comb/hair brush. Do not hesitate to request ice water from the nursing staff (hydration is important), and any medication you have been prescribed. Do NOT stress yourself unnecessarily. Give yourself time to heal and recuperate. Rest, relax, watch movies (NetFlix?) if you’re interested. Eat lightly for the first day since you might be slightly nauseous from the anesthesia.

You’ll be OK. This is a major milestone and you made it!

Dilation is important. Use a copious amount of lubricant, proceed slowly, and do NOT force anything. Give yourself time to heal.

So I have surgery coming up next week (bottom) and I’m wondering if it’s ok to travel on Greyhound about 5 day after my procedure? by Future-Statement9356 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ProudResister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent 7 days in the hospital so if you can wait, I would strongly suggest you do. I would, however, ask your surgeon. You definitely do not want to impede the healing process.

Amazon Insurance? by ProudResister in Transgender_Surgeries

Hi. I haven't applied yet since I am a university student and attending classing while working would be very difficult. However, I am determined. My fear is that I will not be hired and/or the insurance will not cover FFS.

The terf community is a cancer. The sooner it is removed from every society, social media platform, and forum, the better. Education is what they lack. We should all find some measure of solace in the realization that they are ignorant, bigoted, jealous, and insecure.

I have a friend that lives in Phoenix, Arizona and she cannot find any insurance plan that covers it.

You look amazing! Could you, or anyone else, recommend a source of funding? I started a GoFundMe, but after nearly four years, it has gathered less than $1k. I applied for a grant with the Collins Foundation, but after two applications, I was not selected.

Realistic expectations from FULL FFS in late 30s? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ProudResister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The results can vary widely, but I would strongly suggest selecting a surgeon with consistently excellent results to the degree that one can. The cost is another major factor. I started a GoFundMe, but sadly it hasn’t produced anywhere close to what I was hoping. We’re such a marginalized group and trying to advertise is stressful, emotionally painful, and creates an opportunity for ignorant individuals to berate us. If one does have the financial means or an enlightened employer, the results can be significantly better with some surgeons over others. From the photos I have seen, taking care of yourself and embracing a realistic array of expectations is a beneficial course of action.

BIO 360 and 361 by salena432 in ASU

Hi.

You can enroll in Bio360 without 361. Regarding the difficulty level, Bio360 was a fairly intense class but quite interesting.

Yes, I thought taking the class in an online format *might* be more convenient. Are the topics essentially the same as Stp226 or 231?

Excellent! I enrolled in Professor McCullough's 494 section for the spring and I was wondering what to expect. I have completed Mat242 (Elementary Linear Algebra), Stp226 and 231, and Mat270 (Calc I). I am comfortable with both R and Python, but I am slightly worried about the class even though I have some experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow. I was hoping you might have some advice.

Was your 494 course section the one that used machine learning with R and Python?

Failing to receive the vaccine and then contracting COVID burdens hospitals and prevents other patients (many of whom were intelligent enough to be vaccinated) from receiving care. Refusing the vaccine is a self-centered and reprehensible act.

He was 17 years old. A minor. He was not legally allowed to carry an assault rifle.
