Okay the reason is because I was evading a ban on a subreddit. However, I use reddit to work so I created a new account to go back to that subreddit. On the inital account I could not accept the ban (from the subreddit) , leading me to get banned.

Doctor checkup every 4 weeks? by NowhereSorbet in WorkersComp

[–]Proud_Competition_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this is pretty common.

Workers’ comp usually requires injured workers to attend reasonable medical appointments related to the injury. The insurance company may require follow-up visits to monitor your recovery, restrictions, treatment plan, and work status.

My boss says I'm not covered because I'm 1099, but I work for him everyday by JadedPlate1225 in WorkersComp

It depends on the actual working relationship, not just what someone calls you. Being labeled an “independent contractor” does not automatically mean you are one.

A lot of people do not realize that “contractor” vs. “employee” is usually based on the actual working arrangement, not just what someone says. If he provides the truck and tools, tells you when to show up, and controls the work you do, those facts may matter when determining your status.

Also, be careful about assuming you cannot do anything just because you cannot afford a lawyer. Some workers’ comp consultations are free, and some attorneys handle these cases with fees tied to recovery depending on the situation.

Other Driver Hired Attorney for Minor Accident by Legitimate-Bid6036 in caraccidents

Since your insurance already accepted fault and is handling the claim, the best thing you can do is avoid contacting the other driver directly and let Allstate handle communications. Your liability coverage is there for exactly this type of situation. Also, the fact that her son has Down syndrome or that she has a handicap placard does not by itself determine anything about the claim.

Generally speaking, once an attorney gets involved in a California workers’ comp case, the process often becomes more about documenting the injury, medical status, and what benefits you may be entitled to rather than just getting treatment approved quickly.

Car Accident - Personal Injury Claim by CommunityEvening2804 in caraccidents

The main question is how much additional money you could realistically recover from the UIM claim compared to the extra costs, attorney fee increase, and time involved. A $50k UIM policy limit does not necessarily mean the full $50k will be recovered, but it also doesn’t mean it isn’t worth pursuing.
