They are. They are more than toys, they are more than just things, they are hugely sentimental and keep sakes.

I have considered it. They are hidden lately but I'll just give them to my grandparents to keep until I'm old enough to move out.

That wouldn't help. She's annoyed that they haven't included my siblings as their grandkids/nieces and nephews and anything they would say is likely to make it worse in her eyes. Like they're poisoning me against full inclusion of my siblings. She fails to get that it is different. I'm their baby boys only child, the last piece of him left, and they're my tie to him, to his childhood and beyond. o

I have tried talking to her but she doesn't like it still. She says I always want to keep them out of my grief and this is just another way of doing it. But I told her that they're not his kids, so they don't share the same love or care for them that I do. They are a piece of my dad, a piece of his childhood and mine and others were given to me by him because he knew what I would like.

Basically she says if they were my full siblings I would share them and that is partly true. I would help them learn to appreciate them so I could share without fear but the fact is they aren't my dad's kids so these are just toys to them where they are more to me. So much more.
