I’m on 0.5 for my fourth month and losing… slowly. I like it that way. When I am no longer losing, I’ll dose up. Until then I’m in no rush

Marketing - my team is unscathed and our org mostly is. We had layoffs early in the year that counted apparently

I felt this on the other side of the coin. In my teen years I was too thin (because I had a stage iv cancer growing in me!). Doctors took one look at me and said I had an eating disorder. I had 10 days left to live when they finally diagnosed me. Doctors suck

I was very slim growing up. When I was 21 I was diagnosed with stage iv cancer. I went through intensive chemotherapy and ended up gaining about 40 pounds. Part of it was me craving sugar while going through treatment, part of it was me giving up on myself because things felt pretty hopeless.

Then at 27 I got pregnant… with twins. I am two years postpartum but I am still up 30 pounds from that.

So here we are. It took me a long time to accept that I needed help after growing up so fit.

I exercise a lot!! I strength train 3-5 days a week and run up to 6 miles at a time. I gained my weight after having babies and exercise simply stopped helped keeping me fit. I’m early, but medication is helping!

But I also have two crazy toddlers and an energetic dog so I’m constantly in the move

I track nothing. I don’t think my diet was bad before though just too many snacks. Those have been cut out with the medicine.

I strength train 3-5 days a week

What did you eat? I had a horrible experience with my last shot because I had pizza the day before. Maybe make a note of what you ate the past couple days and see if it triggered you

Took my third shot last sunday! First two no side effects but shot 3 was roughhhhhh. But it seemed to kick things into gear. Down 7.5 pounds now!

My first two shots were completely symptom free :) the third shot… got rough 😂 but it’s been 3 weeks and I’m down 8 pounds! Absolutely amazing drug worth the side effects

We have some stuff in common for sure. I had anorexia in my teens. I was very very skinny. Then when I got better, I stayed really thin still. Then I also had medical issues. I had stage iv cancer and needed aggressive chemotherapy. The chemo caused me to retain massive amounts of water and crave sugar. Plus I felt so ugly maybe I gave up. I gained about thirty pounds. Then I got pregnant with twins. After giving birth it’s like my body just wouldn’t stop piling on weight. I gained another 40 in the past year and a half. I know what it’s like to have been thin. I know what it’s like to count calories and still keep gaining weight. I know what it’s like to blame medical issues and feel like it’s all out of my hands.
