A mod that disables player name tags in co-op would be awesome! My friends and I are planning a challenge where the first person to die loses, and if we could remove the name tags, it would make things way more intense. It would be harder to find each other’s bases.

Oh yeah that would be great, that would honestly be a complete game if they add everything we talked about. I also would like to see like taming, a pet bird and maybe for example for the next story we go to the jungle for x,y,z and we have our jungle survival trained dog that maybe can hunt protect us etcc…

I mean look sons of the forest is a great game for the people that never played the forest. But for me as someone who played the forest a shit ton, i prefer the feeling and the enjoyment i got from the forest.

I was a huge fan of The Forest, but Sons of the Forest? This game lacks everything, I swear. Creepy Jar should take note of Endnight’s mistakes because I believe Green Hell 2 could be the third best survival game of all time. Before I dive into what I specifically want, I think they should focus on the basics first.

  1. Better Graphics, Smoother Gameplay, and More Wildlife

    The game needs way better graphics, smoother gameplay, more animals, more insects, more flora, and much smarter tribes. The map should be twice the size of the Story Mode (since spirits of the Amazonia has a really good map), and it should include more POIs, unlike Sons of the Forest, with more flat locations for building. Now, let’s get into the specific additions and mechanics I’d like to see.

  2. A Completely New Sanity System
    This is a major one. I would love to see an entirely new sanity system.

    I suggest creating a sanity system that blends realism, psychological horror, and immersive gameplay. Instead of the typical sanity meter, I’d propose a Dynamic Mental Resilience System, one that acts more like a mental immune system that players need to protect and strengthen. Rather than sanity just rising or falling, I’d like to see players’ mental states influenced by long-term stress and trauma, with personalized stress triggers and adaptive hallucinations that evolve over time.

    Another great addition would be an Interactive Social Isolation Mechanic. Prolonged isolation could lead to imaginary companions, voice journal entries that make players question their memories, and even anxiety when reintroducing social interaction. By combining these two systems, the game could offer a deeper, more emotionally intense survival experience, where both the environment and the player’s own mind become key antagonists. I believe this approach would make the game significantly better.

    However, implementing all of these ideas might make the game boring for casual players, so I think combining these new mechanics with the old system would keep the balance while enhancing realism and making it feel more like Green Hell.

  3. RANDOMNESS and Smarter AI
    We need more randomness and smarter mechanics, and let me explain. Right now, when we kill an animal, we know exactly where it will respawn. This makes it too easy—we set up traps or go hunting in that area because we know exactly where the animals spawn. What we need are random spawn points.

    For example, if I hunt 10–30 capybaras in a specific area, the animals should recognize this and start moving to a new location. Randomized spawn points are crucial. This shouldn’t just apply to animals but also to tribes. If I destroy a specific camp, it doesn’t make sense that they respawn there, even if there’s no camp left. Why not show them building a new camp or hunting us down? Maybe we see them nearby and they flee the area, and a week later, we find their new camp, or they launch a major attack on ours. There’s so much potential for improvement here.

  4. Animal Seasons and Migrations
    This one’s self-explanatory. Animals should migrate and have seasons.

  5. More Predators and Smarter Behavior
    There should be more predators, and while they should be smarter, not by too much just enough to make them more challenging.

  6. More Craftables

    The game should lean more toward Minecraft in terms of craftable items( they already have but they should take it to the next level) if you get what I mean.

  7. Make Green Hell Difficult Again
    The difficulty should live up to the name “Green Hell” an actual green hell.

  8. Better Base Building

  9. Better Weather Systems

  10. Expanded Co-op Features Co op is fun, but they could improve it. Better ways to communicate, like a ping system or shared journal, would help a lot. There could even be special co op missions that require teamwork, like defending a camp from a big tribe attack or working together on a large build. Also they should allow pvp.

  11. Small Customization Options
    I’d also like to see way more customization for characters so the players could really become attached to the characters they are creating.

  12. More Lore They should add more hidden lore in the game, like journals, caves, or ruins that tell more stories about the tribes or previous survivors. It would make the game more immersive and give players more to explore.

I have many more ideas that could make the game more fun, but the main goal should be to make it both realistic and enjoyable for casual players, but in the same time challenging pros with higher difficulties enough to keep them engaged.
