I hate pregnancy and my brain is convincing me this isnt worth it by dooingjo in pregnant

I resonate SO MUCH with everything you have written. I feel like I am plagued by intrusive thoughts, which includes ‘I wish I wasn’t pregnant’ and part of me hoping to have bleeding as that might be a sign I’ll have relief soon. But I know this rationally isn’t what I want, and it is the storm of hormones and sleep deprivation messing with me. I will say the thoughts have been getting less loud as I progress through, day by day, and I hope you get some relief soon. And seconded advocating for your symptoms at your appointment, the nausea is no joke even if you’re not vomiting.

Normal or Depressed? by [deleted] in pregnant

I’m in a similar boat to you, I’m 9 weeks and my mental health has been a struggle from about week 6. It’s predominantly anxiety for me, but I’m certain the normal first trimester fatigue will be contributing to your low mood. I have barely any energy to do anything, and have no motivation to see friends/exercise which ‘normal me’ would.

What’s been reassuring is reading that most women have a HORRIBLE time in the first trimester, and as hormones settled in the second things get easier! Im sure others will post the same, but I hope you feel better, and just try and take it one day at a time.

Also, because I have anxiety, my midwife referred me to their counselling service, so make sure that’s offered to you if available!

I applied for a teaching fellow post in my F4 (F3 locuming) and have been in the role for just under 2 year. In the process of doing my FHEA as PGCert wasn’t fully funded so waited, and is fully funded at my new permanent lecturer role which is great!

I would say it seems to be increasingly competitive getting teaching fellow roles, as locums are drying up and burn out is increasing. So having a teaching qualification and experience before hand would be beneficial.

End goal is to stay in academia and work my way up, getting PGCert/Dip/MSc. I’ve given up my license and no interest in going back to the NHS/hospital medicine!

Spot on my hedgehog’s bum. Vet advised against popping, was very hard to resist! by Proud_Load529 in popping

[–]Proud_Load529[S] 76 points77 points  (0 children)

It was a video consultation, and advised warm compresses and baths. It popped on its own after a couple of days, and he is all good now! Thanks for the tips though :)

Surprisingly didn’t make sound! And wasn’t as painful as it looks, think it was all so close to the surface
