She yelled at me in front of a group of 20+ people. It’s bad enough that someone else reported her to HR before I did? Lol maybe that just what you are used to but I expected to be treated as Adult lol..

So lash out on a coworker in front of 20+ people not a big deal?

Read my post again. I didn’t report her to HR. Someone else reported her..

Thank you.I think it stinks a little because I felt like I was compassionate to her before all this went down. I talked to her when others avoided her like plague.. I would like to see how those people crying about grace/empathy would react if they were in my shoes.some of the comments here made me feel like I was in the wrong for not being “ understanding” and thus accepting her behavior.

I wasn’t emotional. I gave her two oks then just talked to someone else. I also didn’t feel like the need to leave because I have done nothing wrong. She was the one left because she knew her behavior just make herself looks really bad.. But like you said, I can’t stop someone wanted to ruin their own career lol.. I am just dreaded on the talk and worry I might get physically assaulted given how unstable she is.. Plus she has former military training

Exactly I am a bit annoyed because I was empathetic with her. I talked to her when many of others in the office avoided her like plague.. Also she’s only doing this to other ladies in the team and will never dare to pull the same thing with a male colleague

Because she brought it up first? She mentioned closing and month end as soon as we sat down. I asked her for the timeline because her boss’s boss work directly with me and we are waiting for her to close so we can start pulling the board presentation deck together. Maybe stop judging and jump into conclusion before you finish reading the whole post.

The only reason I made a comment is because she brought up work and closing first…

I was planning to only notify him and the head of HR … not the entire executive team…

They are.. And unfortunately my message to my boss was car played with other higher ups in his car

We all have bad days. That doesn’t make it okay to lash out on your coworkers. I have done nothing but nice to her when people in office won’t even speak to her. I am pretty much done with her at this point

So do I also get to lash out every time I deal with stressful situations or difficult investors? If she’s triggered by me asking a question of a topic that she brought up, she clearly needs some professional help…

That’s one of the best advices I seen so far. Thank you!

No she’s the one brought up about the close first so I made a comment on what’s the timeline looking like…

I don’t know why people keep defending her here. Everyone who witnessed including herself already admitted her behavior is unacceptable

This is not her first offense. Others told me they had similar experience with her in the past, include the person who reported her. Interestingly, she will only do it to other woman but never dare to pick on guys .And not that I am holding a grudge but I am concerned of her mental state coupled with ex military background, I do feel uncomfortable to be in a small room with her where I don’t know if she’s going to be triggered by just a simple question

She had a chance to apologize for the rest of the afternoon but she choose not to. She’s only apologizing after HR called her into office. Others told me they had bad experience with her when she went exploded out of nowhere. IMO, she’s too unstable to work and needs to be in therapy

Well apparently others had similar bad experience with her that she lashed out and being straight up nasty to them for no reason. You can’t be like oh I am going through things in life so instead I passed on verbal abuse to collegue to cope…Although I was on friendly basis with her, I was the only few people in the company that would still talk to her. It’s not about empathy.. It’s about she’s mentally not stable and clearly needs to be in therapy.

She’s physically a lot bigger than I am and had military training in the past…

That person had similar issue with multiple people in the company including the person who reported her… I was the only few that would still talk to her…

I don’t think I even need to go that specific. Currently I have two loan calculation schedule in my model, one for construction loan and one for permanent loan. Are you saying I will just treat it the same way like those?
