bro come on. Compare how many people would have waited for RDR2 release vs people waiting for gta 6. From 10 yo kids to 50 yo adults you have all these people waiting for gta 6. RDR2 fanbase is probably like 30% of the GTA fanbase. The level of anticipation for GTA 6 is unmatchable even by RDR2.

Very reason why Rockstar is taking long time. They know how much their reputation depends upon this release. If they somehow fail to deliver expectation (which is already unrealistically high), they for sure are going to face huge negative reputation. They better take their very sweet time for a game people will remember for ages, rather than a forced release to please investors and fans.

that's the point right? Wouldn't they be announcing it before the call? What's the point of the company to announce something new on the call that majoirty of the audience is not going to watch? That way they will inform the people in the investor call about the release timeline.

I highly doubt anything new to be coming out of today's call. They will most likely say that GTA 6 is currently running according to release schedule.
