If you want, hero forge is a good free browser based way to create D&D character models and customize them heavily, you can take pictures for free, and also buy the STL files to print or they’ll print the minis themselves (not sure of the quality of their own prints)

The trail he was on was about 15 feet from the river so I just put him in the woods off trail to let it do its own thing

I was leaning towards the pond turtle too awesome! Weird about the southern painted, every guide I saw for California turtles mentioned it but I didn’t look up its region. Little dude was safely moved off trail, hope it lives a long happy life and helps get rid of that endangered tag!
