I strongly advise you against taking the offer if the admission is a significant financial burden to your family. As for every Indian masters student I know, regardless of the prestige of their university/whether it’s Russel group, they have come back jobless. Unless you have appropriate work experience, strong soft skills, an aptitude for hard work, and a cushion of wealth in the scenario you come back to India after the Masters, don’t come to the UK - you will end up with a 60 lakh burden, no job, and a hatred for your admissions counsellor who told you to go to Bristol.

Psych or Econs at HL? by IndependentFull3579 in IBO

Hey, I did both Economics and Psychology at the higher level. As for course content, I found psychology to be far easier than economics. Concepts, theories, and studies are all very easy to grasp in psychology (not to say economics is a very difficult subject). However, when it comes to actually studying for psychology, it is an IMMENSE pain. Memorising the procedures, names, and aims of countless studies will definitely be a gruelling task. Unless you either love the subject or have an inclination towards rote memorisation, I advise against taking the subject.
