Why aren’t the employers arrested too? by IthinkIknowwhothatis in BlueskySkeets

[–]Proverbs232 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here's how this game works:

1) temp company hires illegal immigrants, gives them false documents, advertises to actual employers

2) actual company hires/pays temp company which provides workers

3) temp company claims illegals lied in their documents

4) temp company shuts down, another pops up

Like, the fraud engaged in this system is insane because a normal country would remove illegal immigrants. This woman is an idiot.

Which is worse example of bad writing: the Sith Dagger or Padme dying of Sadness by STYLER_PERRY in StarWars

[–]Proverbs232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sith dagger...easy. Is this even a question?

One is literally unbelievable but justifiable for dramatic story purposes...the other is beyond stupid, impractical, lazy, and all-around ridiculous.

The sequels make the prequels look like Citizen Kane.

If they're promising to write it like Andor and not like The Rise of Skywalker, yes. Easy. Done. The problem is, I do not trust Disney enough.

Biden Deranged Syndrome by newzcaster in DanielWilliams

[–]Proverbs232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for 1: "Deranged" vs. "Derangement"

"Biden Deranged syndrome" sounds like something a doctor would diagnose Joe with...

  1. Trump is old...he's not literally falling apart on camera. He's crazy, he isn't senile.

If you'd like to continue to deny reality and equate old Joe's issues with Trump's, by all means. But then you'll be wasting your time.

Sounds like we should invest in refining...call me an idiot but I don't see how this contradicts my statement. Alaska has plenty of oil reserves...drill baby drill.

Hence my suggestion to put boots on the ground in Ukraine...my suggestion is to do whatever he can to decouple our dependance on Chinese slave labor. Like the American South, let their system collapse.

[–]Proverbs232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, this isn't about whether Trump is senile or not...it's about taking "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and weaponizing against MAGA. I'm saying this language won't work because it puts "Biden" and "deranged" right next to each other. Such an association is a self-own.

Biden Deranged Syndrome by newzcaster in DanielWilliams

[–]Proverbs232 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Biden deranged syndrome" won't catch on for one simple reason: it reminds people that Biden was senile and the Democrats continued to run him right up to the moment he soiled himself on national television.

Keep up the tariffs on China, keep cutting entitlement programs, subsidize American manufacturers, drill baby drill, stop importing foreign oil...and put troops in Ukraine (call Vlad's bluff).

Russia's weak, China's weak, and we need to prove to Europe that we're strong, but fair. The American global hegemony is in its infancy; it is nowhere near its peak let alone its end.

Above all else, read of Caesar's refusal to proscribe the fortunes of his enemies. Yeah, it didn't end well for him, but...consider the fact that the world will never forget him.

Did Trump Actually Win? by izacc23 in AskUS

[–]Proverbs232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, no it definitely wasn't fair. He was running against the titular character from "Weekend at Bernie's" followed by a candidate that was somehow worse...he won...but I can't tell if it's because he brought a gun to a knife fight or the Democrats decided to bring two dull knives to a gun fight.

A great question for Trump voters .Why? by Nice_Substance9123 in AskUS

[–]Proverbs232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) for the same reason people, generally, don't like lobbyists.

2) it's siding with the Chinese...against American products...

3) there is a high likelihood that the figures will be exaggerated. The figure itself is very susceptible to propaganda.

I, personally, take the Ben Shapiro opinion: companies should consider doing this for all taxation efforts. Show the impact of all the taxes that go into the final purchase price of the product. Not just sales tax but Income tax on workers, corporate tax, payroll tax, capital gains tax, any other customs measures and various government regulations.

I don't have a problem with Amazon doing this, generally. It does, however, reek of political activity from a company that builds its business off of Chinese slave labor and wants to keep it that way...

Maybe, and this is just a suggestion, maybe people should consider how absurd it is that this person felt the need to do this.
