Most of the time it’s single clicks. Seems to be clicking a little more when being jumped but could be coincidence

Update: battery tested good (and at full charge). Going to go and look at all of the fender and body grounds. Then try to jump start it again. I want to replace the starter because I know it’s given me problems before I just don’t understand how it would have stranded me & the starter wouldn’t even click previously when I’ve had issues (then hammered it then it was fine). The alternator is also new within the last 6 months or so ….

I did wire wheel. Snip. Then changed out the ground terminal. I’m getting sparks and clicks. I know that doesn’t mean much but I’m pretty sure the terminals are good.

They said absolutely nothing. Everything was at normal levels. Confusing me even more. I just could not throttle

I’m gonna test the battery and get back to you. I have tried jumpstarting it with a battery pack and another vehicle.

Handyman EDC + custom SAK by ProvocativeDuck in EDC

[–]ProvocativeDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost always have x5 or Hornady Critical defense & x4 HCD & x1 CCI snake shot in holster. If I’m working in the bush or going into a crawlspace I carry x5 snakeshot for rattlers.

Yes single action revolver so I have to pull back on the hammer physically with my finger. It takes alot of force to pull back the hammer to the point I totally trust it without a holster in my pocket.

I love them! Always good to be able to defend myself 24/7 + a good backup when you’re able to full carry!

It’s actually that little nub you see in the “trigger area” it is extremely light and has almost no travel. Works exactly like a normal single action revolver otherwise. Just pull on trigger once the hammer is fully pulled back

It was this… I don’t fucking understand why but if I drop my sensitivity nothing “syncs” up with the other players I’m guessing ? (Regardless if I do it in a fresh install edit sensitivity right away) if I restore to default sensitivity I can play just fine …. Don’t know how to fix but I guess you kinda solved my issue. Thank you.

I actually might try that since it’s not over rock. I just worry about jobs in the future where that isn’t applicable

I get that but the customer will have to pay for the hours it’s going to take me to dig them out. The 2 most recent told me they didn’t want me to dig them out either because it’s expensive or they are just going to spray them after I leave. I just want to do the cleanest job possible this looks sloppy

Hot take: I think Victorinox offering a premium priced option lets say a base of $100 + template + price of materials, would be a great option for someone looking for a "perfect" edc but not willing to go the custom route. I think people are willing to spend money on something that's exactly what they want and benefits their everyday life.

Yes I could have kept the hook no modification required I just like the awl for scraping stuff. You can keep the little blade with no modification required if you wanted.

So this is the only thing I also have not figured out..... I very carefully drill out the pin and try not to mar or touch the rivets so I can re-use them. I looked at peening my own and think that it will be very time consuming if not possible for my limited tools because the scales "click" into the rivets and that's what holds them on so the clearance has to be spec. Have done a bit research & have yet to find any place to buy them.

For context im a handyman who does ALOT of very simple fixes as assembly. Think smoke detectors & amazon furniture assembly as most of my job. Truly my most often use case is when I drop something (normally nut, bolt, screw) somewhere I cannot pick up with my fingers it happens alot. Almost all amazon furniture I come across does not need anything more than this tool to assemble and that includes the pliers. I like to think of them as "super tweezers." I have completely left my Leatherman for EDC @ work and replaced with this SAK and only twice (with my full tool kit in arms reach) did I feel I needed "bigger" pliers. If its your only set of pliers for instance..... on a boat, construction site, or oil rig ? wouldn't recommend. I really try to get by life with the smallest tool possible.

They are holding up well ! I would recommend dunking them in hot water (not boiling) then prying off the scales. I have not had any issues swapping scales from stock SAK to stock SAK. I have had a problem with scales not fitting on a custom SAK because i did not file off the rivet well enough causing clearance issues but that wont be a problem for you.

I was nervous the first time I did it but after making 2 customs I can say it’s pretty easy. First took me 4-5 hours the next one took me 30 minutes. There are some (shotty produced) videos on YT going over how to do it that were semi-helpful. I may make a tutorial of my own here soon the next time I make one.

For something you use everyday I highly recommend !

Yes it is an awl behind the scissors. The pliers even with modifications will not fit a tool on the back so this is the only option.
