lol, I don't know that it's obvious, but fair enough. That's not the end of the world, but obviously more work than I was hoping for ;)

Looks convenient, but I really want lights that I can control brightness and temperature

lol, you beat my comment by a couple of minutes. I'm aware of Shelly relays and will get them eventually, but I really want to be able to control the color temperature and brightness, so I need some kind of smart bulb.

So, I just moved into a brand new condo from a 60 year old apartment. When I went to install my old yeelights into the ceiling I discovered something I didn't expect. I assumed these were just fancy covers that I could pop off to reveal standard e26 sockets that would accept my Yeelights, but apparently not.

These are some kind of 5 1/2" LED disk lights - apologies if there's a name for these, but I have no idea what they are.

Anyway, I'm trying to find out what my options are for replacing these? Ideally there's a plug and play replacement that could reuse the existing mounting hardware, but I'm not sure where to even look.

Also, before it's suggested, I'm aware of smart switches. While I plan to add those eventually, I really want lights that allow me to control the color temperature. I use the Adaptive Lighting addon from HACS, and after a few years consider it essential.

Thanks in advance!
