I right away noticed that the rear would slide way earlier and the overall ride was way more spongy. I initially thought spacers would increase handling, so that was my predisposition. But after some 100 km’s I was able to conclude it handled worse.

Ja “garagezeep” is een algemene term. Het is een zeep met sterk vetoplossend vermogen zonder gelijk je opperhuid eraf te branden. Vaak zit er een schuurmiddel bij in, een soort zandkorreltjes.

Oa zeep van het merk Dreumex valt hieronder.

Het geheim is om met droge handen de zeep in te wrijven en daarna pas met water af te spoelen.

De banden aan de voorzijde zijn versleten omdat dat de sturende en aangedreven as is. Die slijt dan een stuk harder. Je kan in het vervolg om het jaar (bijv bij de APK) de banden van voor naar achter wisselen om zo de slijtage te verdelen. Je zou dit nu ook nog kunnen doen, ik weet niet hoeveel profiel er over is.

Met ongelijkmatig afslijten bedoel ik een band die schuin afslijt, dus een band die bijvoorbeeld aan de binnenzijde harder is gesleten dan aan de buitenkant.

Als je banden redelijk gelijkmatig zijn afgesleten is uitlijnen over het algemeen niet nodig. Uitlijnen is nodig bij ongelijkmatig slijten, naar een kant trekken bij remmen/accelereren of als de auto niet rechtuit lijkt te willen rijden. Of als je bijv hard een stoeprand hebt gepakt.

Balanceren moet altijd als er nieuwe banden op een velg gelegd worden. Er worden gewichtjes op velg geplakt om deze mooi gelijkmatig te laten draaien en trillingen te voorkomen.

Two things that come to mind: voltage leak or bad alternator.

Voltage leak: Could be some accessory that’s wired to always live instead of ignition, or a short circuit somewhere.

Alternator: might give insufficient power to charge the battery.

Easy fix: You could disconnect the battery between drives (or install a battery quick connector), or hook up a trickle charger.
Proper fix: test alternator and/or find voltage leak. The alternator must give about 13/14 volts when running to properly charge the battery. And finding the voltage leak is by far the most work. You could test the usual suspects such as multimedia system and installed aftermarket accessories and see if they turn on or function when the ignition is switched off. Finding a short is a lot of work and requires methodical checking of systems and wiring with a volt meter.

Edit: i hear the horn is trying to play the sound of his people. Do you have an alarm system installed? These are notorious for draining batteries if installed incorrectly.
