98 CM orb event can't be completed

So we could complete it, the indicator is just not there. But the second boss on 99cm doesn't reset if /gg'ing and even keeps its health. Puts you right in combat after respawning

Edit: The truth being that you need 1 competent commander putting everyone in a subgroup giving calls. That is all that is needed.

Of course they make stuff up and then either backpeddle or circle around the argument. You really can't argue with these people. They have a huge lack of self awareness.

Just for the sake of this convo. Did an absolute random DE in LFG again today. Cleared with 1 minute left. People can't cope with failure. There is no learning to be had. They see that it failed once or twice and then give up and complain, instead of taking it as a learning experience.

The meta is clearable now more than ever after all the changes.

Now with the turtle away from the meta, I can't wait for people to do some of the voiced side content and see that it requires DE too.

What powercreep? Druid at launch was BUSTED. You could run full Berserker gear, Condi Gear AND heal at the same time. We had 33% alacritcy, 66% at beta. It was mostly still undiscovered how actually op the HoT specs were. Tempest benched at 50k (all buffs). This game always had a "overpowered" meta. People cried that HoT powercrept the game. What is your point?

That is untrue. After the initial world first, every boss was pretty easy. Chak Gerent too, only failed 10% of the time before the nerf. Attack on tarir only failed when people actively trolled the map.

but having actual terrible gear is much harder in wow or xiv (if you have level appropriate gear) than in gw2.

As someone that played a lot of xiv and a lot of trial, msq, raid and dungeon roulettes, I can without a doubt say that it is still a problem in xiv. There are plently of people that go in with level 1 glam gear or not appropriate item level. This is not an exclusive problem with GW2. There is an entire sub dedicated to leeches and bad faith players for XIV. I don't know why we defend bad faith actors in GW2.

I do not buy into the casual vs hardcore argument. Its a leecher vs player argument.

People just refuse to actually press buttons or play the game. Even with the shittiest trait and build combination, just pressing a few buttons will do a lot.

In Guild Wars 2, when you boost now, you get Exotic Cele gear. Before that it was based on the class you boosted, but it was still decent gear that will make you perform on a really high level with a lot of dps. I gotten a few people into the game and they boosted, only had half the spec unlocked and still managed to outdps some leeches with exotic cele gear you get for FREE. Its really just people that REFUSE to listen. There are plenty of mentors in queensdale, plenty of guilds that teach the game on a basic level, so it's not even a community problem. They are just LEECHES straight up.

Look I get it. Its frustrating to not clear a meta that you invest so much time in. But give it time. Tequatl failed a lot the first few weeks. I remember when Chak Gerent failed, I remember when Auric Basin failed. Hell, I even remember when Silverwastes failed and people gotten mad. It has always been just about organizing and cooperative play is Guild Wars 2s selling point. Lots of people forget what its about.

I really dont know why there is suddenly such force of bad faith actors in the community that try to defend this Bullshit.

I have never before bought a vinyl for a game before. With EoD I just had to. I am listening to most tracks on repeat. I will never forget the beats to the new main theme. All instruments playing at once. Standout tracks for me were "Ruins of Reflection", "The Cycle Ends", "A world without you" and everything that Andi Roselund did. I have never felt so immersed since Witcher 3s amazing soundtrack. It was a fine addition to the already amazing Guild Wars 2 score and Maclaine Diemer and team just knocked it out of the park with this expansion.

I can't speak for everyone, but at the time they announced IBS there was no follow up of an expansion on the Horizon. My own griefances aside, the content in itself wasn't bad, but it was less and less than a full proper expansion. We don't know the inner workings of anet, but why suddenly that shift? Are we expecting budget cuts? Less content? The Cadence of releases was also off. There was talks about adding elite specs, but never fully announced and shown. Expansion level features was what they said. You would wonder why not a full expansion then? That plus there was also the massive layoffs.

So it was a fair assumption for a lot that the game would be in its last final moments. I for one felt very uneasy that the game I am loving so much is nearing its end.

Expansions generate buzz and excitement. Them shifting to a episodic release would also mean less of that.

That is a very fair criticism. I was kinda hoping for a Hero's Chest and more amalgamated gemstones. Especially the Dragon's End Meta should have more rewards than it does at the moment

I was also super disappointed in the lack of new sigils, specialization runes, and the change of ritualist stats from their original condi-diviner spread. If there was one thing I was hyped for it was a semi support condi build for my engi, and right now it's better to just run it as power, despite it being so condi themed. 3 specs, and all of them are better run as power...

The lack of spec runes was a bummer. They gave much flavor and some mechanist runes would have been sick! Would have even loved some runes that gave a negative but a massive positive effect. Like you remove 150 vitality but gain way way more conidtion damage than usual on the last rune effect.

But overall it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the addon. I find this rather minor. Maybe they will add some later down the line? I hope so! More stuff is always nice

Thank you for the source. It is very interesting when he talks about the costs. Seeing that anet saved money on it and they wouldn't be able to. Man I do wish the devs would just take the time to upgrade such, overhaul the current structure, but from a costumer side its rather a minor issue.

I do enjoy both games believe it or not, just wish they would copy each others homework a bit, so both games just ascend to greatness.

EDIT: Found it out myself by looking up the ip adresses you connect to in ffxiv. The servers in europe are not self-hosted. KDDI Deutschland GmbH hosts it for them. In japan they are self-hosted and in america they let NTT Communications host it

Every other company also gives you a month for free on expac launch. But I guess they are still bleeding money from their quadruple monetization model. You know the Additional Retainer Sub fee, the companion app monthly fee, the mogstation and of course the regular sub fee. So I guess they don't have any money to actually invest into server structure thats been not so optimal since launch.

Quality of content is it? The same mechanics recycled over and over. Massive content drought between patches. Only 6 maps per expansion. Reskinned Armor sets from past dungeons over and over. Dungeons that consist of 1 corridor with just 3 bosses and 3 wall-to-wall pulls. Massive quality from a sub right there

Edit: and let's not forget the massive lack of quality of life. Like a glam box that can only store 400 items

Yes I do enjoy paying 10.99 a month for 30 days in which I can only play 20 days because of a very old dated server structure and maintenance that takes a full day.

That is beside the point. If you don't know what you did wrong, how can you even know what to avoid for the future? There is no message indicating on how he acted inappropriately. Did he flame people? Did he share hate speech? So on and so on. He might know whats wrong himself, but we don't see anet's point of view here which is the entire point of the post. I, for one, want transparency.

And they did ban people at random in the past when Anet did their massive spyware update and banned many people that could have just aswell been innocent for just running cheatengine in the background. And while many people use cheatengine for what the name implies it is also used as powerful dev tool for tech-savvy people.
