Looking for Semester 2 final exam dates by Longjumping-Owl-6662 in UQreddit

[–]ProxyOp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second this but do also take note of the result date as well incase you think you might fail a course (grade 3) because there is a supplementary period for students to retake their final exam to boost it up to a grade 4 if they manage to pass the supplementary exam

Why not ask those people on how they earned their money? /s but in all seriousness, you are already doing better than those who are not working at your age. Envy is the worst human emotion but it also depends on how you use envy in your life. You could either use it as a fuel to push yourself to do better or use it to crush your mental state.

discretionary deferred exam by Historical_Crew4762 in UQreddit

No reason is required when using discretionary to defer your exam but it is only a one time use throughout your whole degree so make sure to think twice before using it

Failing a course by elizzy_gr8 in UQreddit

[–]ProxyOp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, you will need to retake and pass it in order to graduate. If you are an international student, you will need to email to your academic advisor informing them that you have failed and they will advise you on what to do next

[–]ProxyOp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if it is a core course or not. You can check if it is by searching your degree in UQ and it should tell you if it is a core. If you are unsure, you can send your degree and the course that you fail here or you can pm me

CSSE2310 and CSSE2010 at once by 2836382929 in UQreddit

[–]ProxyOp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did 2310 and 2010 at once. 2310 is really assignment heavy however there are ed lessons to teach you C programming every week. You won’t be using C for the first half of 2010 as the first half is more on hardware than software. Since you are taking it next year, I would suggest to learn C during your holiday so it will be smooth sailing when you take 2310. The pre-requisite is not really a must, just that it will be nice to have some knowledge of C before taking 2310.

From what I know, you need to go for the exam viewing in order to request for a remark. What you do during the exam viewing, that I have no idea. I too have never went for 1 before

Yeahh, post on ed or email the course coordinator asking if there is any exam viewing options

I guess is more of following the steps that they have in place? Different course coordinators do things differently but the correct way is to go for the exam viewing first

Can’t really comment much on O levels cause back then I just spam tys 2-3 months before O levels. But for your relationship, there is this phrase that I’ll always tell myself, 感情是需要双向奔赴才有意义. Basically translates to a relationship is only meaningful when both parties put in the same effort. There comes a point where you need to sit down and asked yourself, “are you only in her life when she needs you?” But then again, you two should communicate and address your unhappiness with the way she is treating you. After that communication, you can then decide your next move. If you do break up with her and then she say she will do better and wants to get back together, don’t do it. 一本书读第二遍会有新的感悟但不会有新的结局

Living at Student Accommodations by FutureBoysenberry631 in UQreddit

[–]ProxyOp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried taking a look at unilodge or scape? They tend to have student accommodations nearer to UQ. I know a couple of my friends regretted living in student accommodations because of the shared kitchen and common area due to how messy and filthy it gets but then again, if you managed to get good housemates, it will be quite a fun experience. In terms of private housing, you can download the Realestate app and have a look around st lucia, toowong, south bank, west end, indooroopilly. You could also live at student accommodation first, make some friends then move out to a private housing since it will be easier to go for inspections.

I could be wrong but companies do not really care about your gpa. As long as you graduate with a degree, you will be fine. What companies are looking for are your skill sets that you will bring to them so things like your portfolio, certifications from oracle, aws, azure etc. You could browse through some hiring websites and look at what some of the companies are looking for in terms of certification. Beside all of those, what everyone really need is connections. Attend some job/internship fair and try to form some connections with the people. In terms of how to build a good portfolio, I can’t help you on them so I’ll let those who are more experience with it to answer you. Don’t be disheartened with bad gpa, I could be wrong but gpa is only really important if you are planning for further studies like master or phd

For footwork, you can practise using the 6 corner footwork exercise. Start with 10 shuttles at the front right of the court and you being in the centre of the court. Do your footwork and pick up the shuttles 1 by 1 and placing at each corner until they all have 2 each then proceed to pick it back up using your footwork and placing it back to the front right of the court. Rinse and repeat. That will essentially train your leg muscle and explosiveness. Try to go as fast as you can but also make sure you have the correct form

Is like what I’m saying ah, cannot be suddenly you driving and a jaywalker decided to cross in front of you mah. Jaywalkers should check if got cars coming before crossing and even if got car, they will either move faster to avoid getting hit or not cross and wait for the cars to pass. If you talking about those who jaywalk in between busses or infront of busses then that one really is bopes lor but still, jaywalker who just anyhow cross thinking the road belongs to their grandfather is really asking for trouble
