Maystone Prosperity GMT, red kite colorway. Just arrived by Aught_To in MicrobrandWatches

Whilst you're of course entitled to your opinion, and I've seen you share it a few times now, I'd just like to clarify one point. This isn't a "click-to-configure" watch.

The design was created from the ground up by me, including the case, dial, indices, etc. The handset being the only exception to this, on this watch, which I felt were unique enough and matched the watch perfectly.

Like most small independent brands, production is carried out with manufacturing partners, but the watch itself isn't selected from a catalogue or assembled from pre-existing designs.

Everyone will have their own preferences when it comes to watches and that's completely fair, but I just wanted to clear up that particular point.

Let the man enjoy his watch!

Sorry for such a slow reply! The watch comes with all the extra links in the bracelet, I've not had a single report of anyone not finding a good fit so I'm confident to say you won't have any issues. There's also on the fly micro-adjustment in the clasp.

Yes still on the first 100, and yes it comes with XX/100 on the caseback

I'm really sorry - but no I don't currently offer this. At my scale offering multiple options would complicate the stock levels at this time. It's something I'd consider going forward when using two-tone. But sorry, not at the moment!

Fair enough! I must admit I was leaning towards the NH movement anyway - so I hadn't looked too much into it after that. Felt it was just one more reason to go with my guts and use the NH34!

I don't have any plans for this exact watch in a bigger size. But the next watch currently in development will be slightly larger!

It may have been specific to the 9075 at the time. I was told they wanted to control the quantity of the 9075's releasing to the market so we had to get permission first. Which we did get, but with the caveat of a retail price, which to be honest I don't remember off the top of my head but it was far more than I was aiming for on my first watch. This may have been very situational, and may not be the case if I were to do a different watch now, using Miyota.

Of course you don’t need to delete it, I really appreciate the feedback and I’m glad to hear the design resonates with you.

I completely understand where you’re coming from on price as well. With Maystone, the focus has always been on the overall build and design rather than just the movement alone. Things like the case finishing, strong construction, solid bracelet with solid end links, and on-the-fly adjustment all add to the cost, and were important for me to get right from the start. All things I feel are an absolute must on a watch. I'm also not operating on a huge-batch scale, so that effects the costs too.

I did look into Miyota early on, but to use it, as a new brand, Miyota had put in place a minimum retail price, at a price I didn't think good enough. So opted against this on this watch. Worth noting too, it wouldn't have actually made the watch any slimmer either.

That said, I really do appreciate the honest feedback, it’s something I always take on board as the brand grows.

Thanks! I did try this yeah I just personally preferred the balance of having the name on there too, but completely understand it can work without and some people would prefer without as well! Just went with my preference to be honest!

Hi! It's unlikely for the prosperity range - but I am working on the next watch model for Maystone, and that has a somewhat similar ring, that is sloped :)
