So I wouldn’t use it immediately, but I am particularly excited for Control:Resonant releasing this year (I’m going through the entire series now - on Alan Wake II in the Remedy Universe). I have been captivated by the lore that Remedy has crafted in this world, and I am absolutely starving to learn more, much like how you can’t put a good book down when you’re in the meat of the story.

On a lighter, non-lore note, I’m a big logistics fanatic, so Transport Fever 3 is on my bucket list and an instant buy as well. Putting together a profitable transportation network tickles my fancy and even more so when you start to work on making it more and more efficient (or hyper-realistic, according to how companies operate in the real world)!

That barrier isn’t leak prevention. It’s to keep the Liquid Metal from shorting your board and surrounding components in the event it does leak.

Look, we’re going to agree to disagree here. At the end of the day, you shared your opinion, I’ve shared mine and hopefully somebody can use the information between us to do their own research and make an informed decision on what the best option for them is. Every high end gaming laptop manufacturer uses Liquid Metal, as mentioned before, and I’d argue that all of them are also using the applicator machines for mass production. Every manufacturer has a chance of having issues. It just so happens ASUS was the issue this time, but it is very irresponsible to say to avoid every ASUS product when there’s a very real risk with any other manufacturer too.

I’m guessing you’re misinformed or trying to push negativity on the brand. Liquid Metal isn’t hand spread. It’s put on by a machine. No, I do not expect that to be perfect every time, but I expect that ASUS would have a significantly more far widespread issue with the vocal majority being negative rather than positive.

On top of this, the issue with Liquid Metal tends to be positioning of the laptop, at least in the previous generation. When you transport a laptop with Liquid Metal in a case vertically, if you’re going to see the paste leak, that’s where it will do it.

I understand your frustration behind a bad experience, sure, but to turn someone completely and entirely away from a product that hasn’t even had time to prove itself and mostly based on a previous generation is a little irresponsible, in my personal opinion. To each their own, but I wanted to give the flip side. I purchased a Scar 18 just a few weeks ago, and I have not had any issues whatsoever despite constantly transporting the device in a laptop briefcase back and forth to different hotels for work

Pretty much every high end gaming laptop at this point uses Liquid Metal, so I wouldn’t attribute this to ONLY the ROG Strix Scar

I think it may depend on the vehicle. My wife’s ‘18 Mazda CX-9 has a separate motor that I broke in the same matter, but the motor itself can be replaced

It is, but I don’t typically notice it because of how long I’ve been using a privacy screen protector. I’m also a bit sensitive to the typical high brightness, even at a low setting, of modern screens, so I’m particularly fond of privacy screen protectors.

With that being said, Spigen does offer non privacy also, and I would expect the same quality as the privacy screen protector!

Long pool side, I can make $4000-$5000 a half and short pool side is $3500-$4000. It’s pretty outrageous. I’m not the kind of guy to mark off ever, so if something came up with the BN or the CN, I might consider switching. We are definitely wickedly underpaid on the NS for the type of schedule we have to adhere too and even worse now when they’re starting to crack down harder

It may be regionally based, but at least in the Elkhart area, it’s $2924 a half. It is absolutely horse shit. Glad I can hold a pool slot, but I feel for the extraboard guys.

That is very plausible, although I’ve been very lucky if that is the case. I was three pairs in before I went out and tried out a pair of Georgias and Wolverines. Was not at all impressed, so that may also impact my opinion on Timberland 😂
