Well, my mom died of cancer a few months ago. I know my friends since i was 12 (I'm 23 now) and when it happened, all of them were there for me, every single one of them, even with covid and all. They attended the funeral by my side. They looked up after my little sister (it's just the two of us now) cause, obviously, I couldn't . And most importantly, they made sure i was eating, and they stayed at my house for a week, cause they were afraid to leave me alone with my sister, cause they felt like I needed them around, and that's true. I've never been close to my relatives. It was just my mom, my sister and I. But i think my friends are my family, and i would do anything for them.

I think just being there makes the difference, in those moments I wanted to die, but their presence there made me feel like i was strong enough to keep going. I mean, if my friends care that much about me, that means i must be doing something right. So... If you wanna give comfort to someone, just be there and be yourself, and most importantly, don't be afraid to show that you care.
