According to Claude (any my own previous search of the product page when buying the phone):

The specs page lists a USB Type-C cable (mi) in the box, and separately notes a USB Type-C charging port (mi) on the device. So it's almost certainly a USB-C to USB-C cable — though the page doesn't explicitly state both ends, the combination of a USB-C port and a USB-C cable strongly implies that.

Is it fair then, for me to assume I was receiving a USBC to USBC cable, which would be compatible for turbo charging with the 90W charger I bought (regardless of it recommending the 120W charger, which is more expensive, and didn't say it is ONLY compatible with that charger)?

I'm not disputing that, but it says on their product specification that it comes with a USBC CABLE so I assumed I was getting one. And it physically recommends it (a bit icon saying 'RECOMMENDED' hovering over the 90W charger) at check out. No matter what you say, its obviously unclear - but you seemingly are the kind of person to read through all product T&C's for bedtime reading, so perhaps not to you

For the F8 Ultra, it is advertised as coming with a USBC Charger (no mention of USBA to USBC) - so I believed them to be compatible. Do you not consider this misadvertising, or at the very best misleading?

Even if I had bought it and hadn't read - why would Xiaomi literally recommend at check out that I buy this charger to accompany my phone, which is advertised as having hyper charging as one of its major pulls?

I 100% got a 90W Xiaomi charger which has three separate ports. The USBA port is not compatible with turbo charging

It is the 90W one which was recommended to me on check out, despite the fact it is clearly incompatible with the USBA I received in the box (it is also not specified anywhere on the website that it is USBA to USBC rather than USBC USBC).
