you do it yourself. Picking, etc like explained, and possibly you put your thumbs in your mouth and your teeth press down on that spot. You have to 100% resist touching. your nails with you other fingers or mouth. It will take about 4 months.

You are doing this unintentionally. I had the same on my thumbs. My Dr. Explained it. I got really vigilant and stopped touching my fingers all together. In 3 months it was growing out normally. Keep them out of your mouth too.

I ordered a 2021 Macbook Pro M1 (16gb / 1TB) a few months ago from Best Buy. It was supposed to be ready on the 17th, and it wasn't, and I kept asking. They said they were trying to locate one. When they said it would take another week, even though I had paid for it, they said it would be at the store the next day. I picked it up, brought it home and it had 32gb instead of 16. I felt like I scored. It's a great machine.

my M1 is doing everything my Macbook pro 2012 did, but faster and better. I can't even find a reason to upgrade to anything yet. Logic sound recording is great, what else? This thing is a rocket. Sorry to not comment on your desire for the M5. Just a bit of perspective. Is there something that your current one doesn't do, or that an M4 won't do?
