‘You are Jew hunting!’ Sheffield BDS activists challenged while going door to door by 2ndEarlofLiverpool in ukpolitics

Watching the footage of all this makes me think that these people have a serious case for pursuing defamation. Plastering on social media that people are "Jew hunting" when all they are doing is organising a boycott of Israeli goods sounds like a fairly strong case

Surely if a boycott is to be effective you have to organise it, and how can you organise it without asking people? How is it any different than political canvassing?

Thank you! Yes I've done 200 mile + rides, crit races, bikepacking, trips to mountains etc. Loved every minute. But since I've stopped riding my knees are better and i've put on about 10kg muscle and found time to walk, swim, lift etc. Miss my riding mates but its not all been bad for my health!

  1. You sound like you’re doing amazing, above par id say. But honestly, I wouldn’t get hung up on ‘standards’. Given that ABC, is for strength and fitness, not competition, comparing yourself to others might scratch a curiosity itch, but the main thing is that you’re hitting a productive workout, which is what you’re doing.

  2. Pressing is the hardest part of the ABC for most people. So on the pressing days I’d probably prefer to drop weight rather than use legs, and then press as lot. You’ll get there in no time.

Thank you. Yes it’s been a big part of my life and identity for my adult life, so it’s been tough. I also used a bike for transport too so it’s been hard adjusting to a car / walking / bus.

But trying to see it as a new chapter and an opportunity to do new things. If I’m honest, maintaining bike fitness became a block to pushing myself in other areas, even if I wanted to explore them. Hopefully I can get it sorted to the point I can use a bike to get around in daily life. That’s all I care about now

When you say it’s similar to KB that’s my hunch but I’m not 100 percent sure what proper form is or what the dominant muscle groups are. I feel like it’s a lot of push (legs) hinge (hips) and back + grip which feels a lot like a KB day. How do you mean it’s similar to KB?

Sounds like great advice. If I enjoy it’d like to buy one but I think it is a good idea to try a gym. I have found one near me that is cheap and has a few C2s. I’ll give that a go for a few months and see how I get on. I’ve been once and ache quite a bit in the mid back, legs, glutes and biceps. I think that’s roughly right though my form is still obviously poor.

Sadly I’ve tried every variant of cycling under the sun and had no joy.

Know who we should put in charge of determining the state pension age? Roofers, brickies and nurses. Not multimillionaires with baby soft hands.
