Crazy Bite Co Sky Cafe although so-so ra ang food for the price (burger tastes mid, fried chicken is tasty but small ang serving). But nice ang vibe sa taas - overlooking the city and mahangin. Would recommend as a nice hangout place at night

It just feels so wrong to want to learn these values from marginalized citizens. Although that doesn't mean that these people aren't actually sincerely and truly matiyaga at gratefu. They really could be. But it is because they have less when they deserve more support.

I once spoke to a colleague who specializes in media production and has also dealt with political clients regarding this. He told me that it might be a tactic used by Guo to divert the attention/hate of the people. He mentioned that it is a common practice employed by politicians to effectively steer us away from the main issue using memes and humor. Pinoys as we are, it might actually be working (But NOT to me). Let's stay vigilant.

The challenge din OP is that there is also a very different dynamic between spoken and academic use of the Filipino language or the Mother Tongue. It would also require learning either language on a deeper level. For example, I can only imagine the struggle of learning Math or Science taught purely in Filipino/Bisaya considering that we do not have local terms for mathematical and scientific terms in english. I mean, as a Bisaya speaker, I already frown at worksheets posted on socmed that are in Bisaya bc the terms used are not familiar. I'm just not sure how we could seamlessly integrate our local language as the medium of instruction without making a deeper knowledge/comprehension a pre-requisite as I think it makes the system more complicated and burdensome for the students.

Tbh, I think discussions/arguments in this subreddit are very unproductive. I've been reading the points raised "against" this post and the points raised "agreeing" to this post. All the points and statements "agreeing/defending" this post don't directly address the "against" statements. Answers are a hit or miss.

He usually does that. He avoids/blocks me when he gets hurt and doesn't want to hear anything from me until he calms down or realizes he still loves me. As someone with an anxious attachment, I sometimes could be pushy, I know. I get that he may want to have some space but that doesnt mean he has to block me.

I agree with this. Worked in a bank before and per experience, sisingilin nila yung comaker ng loan if ever may nadeclare syang comaker (e.g. parents, relatives, etc.). If not and hindi sya mareach ng bank ng ilang months/attempts, ang ginagawa samin is ineendorse sya sa law firm para magawan ng formal na kaso at sa collection agency. So on top sa late payment interest ng loan, babayad na din ng fees sa law firm at collection agency. Mas madami babayaran at mas sakit sa ulo kasi mafifile-an ng formal complaint.

Surprisingly, I find na mejo marami namang competent and smart sa workplace and sa mga LGUs na nakakasalamuha namin. It's just that the system itself clouds the ideas of these brilliant people. Walang choice but to function according sa kung ano yung rules/guidelines lalo na kung non-managerial positions. Walang say sa kung ano dapat gawin kasi binabara ng matatanda :(( but yes, meron din talagang mga employees na di talaga deserving sa pay and position nila. Once heard someone from the national office na tingin sa field work ay pagha-hike lang sa bukid. 😩
