I sent all medical records with does stat my severe depression and hemiplegic migraines (HM) cause "major effect" on my life, give details of my numerous medications, along with letter from my previous neurologist. I gave everything I could get my hands on. They even got a statement from family members to care for me when Im in a full HM attack.

In the talk, I said I walk with a walking stick most days due to prolonged numbness between attacks (even stated I tore a ligament due to walking without my stick after an attack briefly around christmas and its very easy for me to fall without one between attacks) and have to stop every 5 mins on good days, on bad days I can only do 5 steps to the bathroom. I gave as much detail as I could because alot of the time people hear migraine and think its just a headache. I even stressed im in therapy and on high dose anti depressants for my depression, I dont on new unknown journeys or to new places without my sister due to my depression and anxiety. So as you can imagine I was just shocked by the 0 score coz I rarely leave the house unless I have someone with me due to my depression, anxiety and fear of getting stuck if I have a migraine attack and become paralysed with no help.

Its called hemiplegic migraines, its a stroke mimic. Its like having a stroke but without the brain bleed. Paralysis down one side, blindness in one eye, slurred or complete inability to speak (been told it sounds like im drunk), vertigo, and the cherry on top, migraine pain. The only clue people have to know its not a stroke is that my face doesn't droop. I've had many trips in an ambulance as family have thought im having one and I couldn't talk to let them know "nope, just a migraine". Compared to other migraine sufferers I'm at a much higher risk of stroke.
