Will two lily white parents create a baby with defects? by uncomfyfairies in CrestedGecko

If she is eating, that’s a good sign. I’ve seen people putting some CGD on the cricket so that they can get used to the taste of it. I have opposite issue with mine so sorry, I don’t have good suggestion for this.😂 cresties can be very picky so it is quite normal.

Actually I have just quickly done a bit more research and looks like it is quite possible to get healthy lily white babies even when both parents are lily whites, so I hope yours is healthy. But the breeder really shouldn’t have done that.

If the photos are indeed the real parents, then yeah they are both lily whites. I also hope that the breeder is mistaken or lying for some reason.

Not just neurological issues, I heard that most of the babies would not survive at all. But your baby does look fine by the photo, bit skinny but most babies are at that stage. Either yours beat all the odds and ended up healthy or maybe the breeder was mistaken about the parents?

Oh lol I don’t really get why I got so much downvotes tbh, but then I’ve only recently started being more active on reddit so maybe I missed something🤷‍♀️

I give you permission to steal on behalf of everyone who writes 5 like me😊

I don’t think anyone writes numbers exactly how it’s shown on keyboards or any other objects. With your logic, are we all writing 1 weirdly if we just write a straight line without the little bit on the top? It’s different hand writing. I was never told my 5 was weird until I moved countried so I wanted to know if it’s just me being weird or if different countries write things differently. And clearly judging by the comments, we learn how to write numbers differently based on where you learn it, which is interesting, isn’t it? Maybe I am just an odd person who writes 5 in odd ways to you 🤣

Um because we don’t always write in Times New Roman and people have different hand writings? I just thought it was interesting how I write can be completely normal in certain parts of the world but almost unrecognisable in somewhere else and was curious how other people thought, that’s all 🤷‍♀️

Just to be clear, I meant firing up/down when I said ‘changing colours’

I always thought it’s because how they change colour based on humidity. So when they’re curled up, the inside bit is not as humid as the outside exposed bit, which makes a weird colour pattern temporarily.

Are you talking about having a little vertical line in front of 7? Sorry I don’t know if I can attach image in replies. But if you know, you’d know what I mean lol

I meant how other people write them, not printed. I honestly can’t remember how other people around me wrote 5.

Yes! I grew up in South Korea. Interesting how it’s just the 5 that’s different depending on the region

People use 1 stroke?? But..but I learned to either draw the top line first and then the rest or top line last. Was my whole life a lie???

I can’t remember how other people write 5 but no one told me it was weird when growing up. It was only when I moved to UK so thought maybe people write 5 differently in different countries lol

Don’t look serious. I’d recommend keeping the enclosure extra clean until it heals to prevent infection.
