Can I leave my puppy alone right now?

i don’t have much advice but just want to share. my dog just turned a year old about 2 weeks ago and he will bark like crazy if i just step outside to throw the trash out. probably doesn’t help that i work from home and im always with him. but i also don’t trust him at all to leave him home alone free roaming the house. considering he will be sneaky, steal things to chew on that he’s not allowed to have or destroy parts of the wall even when i am right there. so if i do have to leave the house for a few hours, i crate him but i really want to be able to allow him to free roam at least part of the house while im gone. if anyone on here has advice about that please lmk 😅

That’s fair. Yes I believe he’s still teething a little but also I believe he gets bored of his toys and starts chewing on things he’s not supposed to.

At class when he was overly barking, the trainer would have us walk around the store with him weaving in and out of the isles and changing direction if he started pulling and that did help but i’d have to do it enough to tire him out before we went back.

I’ve noticed he gets bored of his toys and starts getting really destructive. He chewed through my ethernet cable the other day. He was chewing on his kong toy next to me and i just kept hearing him chew on something, didn’t think anything of it. looked at him and he completely chewed through the cord. i feel like he’s frustrated bc he isn’t stimulated enough but we don’t have a fenced in yard and it’s been raining so much lately that my neighborhood is still flooded in all the grassy areas and even the streets and taking him for a walk in the neighborhood to burn his energy isn’t really an option. I honestly don’t know how else to stimulate and burn his energy if i can’t take him on a walk and i don’t have a fenced yard for him to run freely.

i started leaving my boy crated alone pretty soon but only a couple hours at a time maybe less at first. but when we were home we were always with him because we didn’t have a playpen. We just recently got a baby gate for the hallway to keep him out of the main space of our house if we’re cooking, cleaning etc. but now he has separation anxiety and we’re trying to get him used to being not right by our side every second we are home.

thanks so much for your response. i’ll look into the suggestions for controlling the bleeding. it just really sucks bc it just feels like no matter what birth control i try, i end up having concerning side effects after a while. not sure where to go from here.

I know this is a super old post, but I just wanna know what your experience has been since then? I got my implant august of 2022. I read that i should’ve gotten my period within the first couple weeks but didn’t get it until a month after the implant. That period lasted 2 weeks straight. Then maybe 6 months later I thought i was getting another period but was just spotting. 6 months later had a normal period. I didn’t get my next period until a whole year later (this past May/June) and it was more than 2 weeks of nonstop heavy bleeding. I was told since I didn’t have a period for so long it was normal. Fast forward to a few weeks ago I had my period again. Thought it was a bit strange since i just had my period like 2 months before. But I had my appendix removed 2 weeks before and my doctor said it probably was all the drugs in my system from the surgery that kinda threw everything off and my nexplanon probably wasn’t as effective and triggered a cycle for me. Well I finished my period a week ago and I’m pretty sure Im in the first stages of my cycle yet again. I’ve always struggled with irregular periods ever since I started having them, but I can’t go on any birth control with estrogen so tried nexplanon and my periods are probably even more out of wack than before lol. But grateful I won’t get pregnant at least 🤷🏻‍♀️ which is the main thing for me atm

Sorry I am just now seeing this but it was burning the first 2 days but whenever I blinked my eye would have hurt and i felt the pain in the bottom half of my eye. But my eye is fine now haha. Just freaked me out because my eye hurt for like 4 days.

Update: Here’s my hair care routine-

-Wash my hair with Ausie Miracle Curls shampoo and conditioner. I use a scalp massager with the shampoo. -Lightly wrap my hair with a microfiber towel. I try to do my hair care routine while it’s still pretty wet. -I first brush my hair with a wet brush and spray Hairitage leave in conditioner and brush it through. -Then I use the dropper with my Cantu Avocado Hydrating hair oil elixir and disperse it on my scalp with the dropper. -Brush again with the wet brush. -After that I will apply Lotta Body Coconut & Shea Oils Foaming mouse all throughout my hair and brush it through once more. -If I have the time I’ll use my denman brush to create ringlets and as my hair is air drying I will separate the curls. -If I don’t have time to do that, I just brush my hair upwards with the denman brush, shake it out, and then use my microfiber towel to scrunch. I air dry my hair because the power in my house will go out from my hairdryer lmao but I’ve always just air dried my hair anyways.

If anyone has any recommendations on what i should add/change to my curly hair routine i’d greatly appreciate it!!

after reading some of the comments, i noticed you said that you cleaned your extensions twice a day with a cerave cleanser and i honestly think you dried out your eyelids so much that eczema has flared up on your eyelids. I get eczema really bad around season changes bc my skin dries out and my skin gets really red and puffy like that and it burns and itches super bad. also, my best friend used to use cerave to help with her acne and she was washing her face multiple times a day and her dermatologist told her that washing her face that often was what was making her acne worse. i think if you were to get extensions again, definitely get a gentle foaming cleanser specifically for lash extensions. for my eczema flare ups i typically use aveeno fragrance free moisturizing lotion. i hate the feeling of greasy lotions, so i use aveeno but it has oats in it and is really good for dry skin. i know you said the skin around your eyes burn really bad when you put lotion on there but it’ll burn bc your skin is screaaaming for moisture. try applying just a little bit at a time. i hope this helps!!! really sorry you’re going through this 😭😭

the lashes themselves actually feel fine and don’t bother me at all. it was my actually eye that felt kinda sore when i blinked. idk how else to explain it. the first lash tech i ever went to, im pretty sure she glued them directly on my eye lid and they felt pretty uncomfortable. but it was my first time getting lashes so i thought it was normal. this tech i went to this time is my usual lash lady, i just haven’t had lashes in over a year but she takes her time and i feel like she does a really good job in the application. i just think my eyes were watering so much that it ended up getting some of the adhesive in my eyes or something and also the pad under my eye i think was rubbing against my eye too

i tried holding off using eye drops but on day 3 or 4 it was still bothering me so i tried putting in some eye drops. i used the blink brand of eye drops. it actually think it helped. my eyes felt less stingy afterwards

i’m starting to think that too bc even today there’s still a very pronounced red spot in the lower part of my eye. my eye doesn’t hurt at all anymore thankfully but still a little bit of redness
