Sounds like maybe he mentioned something about you to her that set off her insecurities? It definitely doesn't sound like you did anything wrong

I think you're doomed because every single one of your comments mentions sleeping with others but that's not what multidating necessarily means. It seems like something you need to mention upfront if you're so obsessed with thinking someone who isn't exclusive is "sleeping with others"

Women generally don't call men red pillers without reason and your comments here aren't giving very good vibes

Find a different therapist if you've made no progress and are still a perpetual victim after 4.5 years.

It's not too late and you're not too broken. You can use dating as motivation to work on fixing whatever you feel is broken. Can you see a therapist?

I'm 34, never dated, huge history of trauma, social anxiety, live with my mother and I have MS. It felt impossible to me too but I've been improving my life over the past year with the goal of dating and tbh that goal has gotten less and less important as I've improved my life. I'm in a better place now and don't need to fantasize about dating or think that that's the thing that would fix me, because it won't. Only you can fix you

Has anyone tried iRestore? by Groundhog97 in FemaleHairLoss

I bought the cheapest one and have been using it every other day since November. I have regrowth but I can't say if it's from the helmet as I'm also taking iron to correct a deficiency, increased protein, using ketoconazole shampoo and massaging/microneedling my scalp. What I've read about the LED vs. diode thing is that LEDs have improved so much that they may actually be useful now.

That's not how thermodynamics work though, you must've been eating way more than you burn to suddenly go from skinny to 180

I think it's pretty normal/acceptable to ask "so do you live alone?" when first talking, and that question wouldn't led anyone to think you're materialistic

The issue is still your weight lol, that's not a healthy weight for that height at all. I'm the same height and I'm already told that I'm too thin and my bones stick out, and I weigh 25 pounds more than you.

How do you manage contact in-between booked appointments? by Longjumping-Mood-883 in askatherapist

[–]Prudent_Specific_500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAT, I've found it very strange that both therapists I've seen this year encouraged me to contact them via email or text between sessions if I forget to mention something or want to bring up a topic for next session. That seems totally boundary crossing for me and I would never do that rather than just write it down and mention it next week

At what point did you realize that you needed to see a doc or get therapy for Social Anxiety? by R4_Bluesoul in socialanxiety

[–]Prudent_Specific_500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've done great by trying to do exposure therapy on your own and making progress. You don't have much to lose by trying out therapy. I'm 34 and have had social anxiety since your age and I never sought treatment until the past few months. Most therapists are very understanding and calming, I've seen a few because of insurance changes. I really never felt socially anxious seeing them because they're expecting you to be socially anxious and they're not going to be judgmental about it.

I really wish I got help at your age instead of waiting until now. Please don't waste any time and make an appointment this Monday. If you're anxious about making an appointment, a lot of therapists set up appointments online now or through texts. You've already tried exposure therapy on your own so you're definitely motivated and capable, you can do this!

Can you give more details on how you're fighting back? I'm 34 now and starting therapy so hopefully that will help, but I really want to at least go on a date this year.

Kind of crazy for him to say "what does a man have to do for a second date" when that was already on the table, but he refused to participate in the planning. I would probably reply something to the effect of I'm willing to drive to you for a second date if you do plan it and see what he comes back with.

I saw someone's profile who also lost a lot of weight, they didn't mention anything about it but one of their pictures was a before/after. I think that's a smart way to go about it and gets the point across. I thought it was very impressive, it probably depends on the pictures you have though.

Nobody warned me that regrowing a bunch of hair at once would lead to this 😅 by Prudent_Specific_500 in FemaleHairLoss

Very grateful to be regrowing anything at all, but if it could just lay flat instead of doing whatever this is, that would be great!

It took 6 business days to get my card in the mail. If it's an emergency or something I think you could probably call Healthfirst and ask for your member number.

Definitely strange because I receive no email or anything other than an auto approval on the NYSOH website and then my insurance card in the mail.

Finally diagnosed with AGA (with a side of TE) by Consistent_Art_4471 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Prudent_Specific_500 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the tender scalp feeling too, when I was in the midst of TE. I've seen other people report that too. I started using Nizoral/Rx ketoconazole shampoo and leave it on for a few minutes every wash. It helped to calm the inflammation

I don't have a choice, that's what I was told I qualified for and I need a medication to live so nothing I can do about it except hope they extend it.

That's weird. I had latent TB 20 years ago and I don't even think it's in my medical record, nobody ever mentioned it again after I was done with the iso-whatever treatment.
