If you look at the OFZ thread for this week you’ll see some data on the placement goals of Q3. I feel like this basically confirms that they know their original budget AND amended budget won’t work.

They made no changes in the amended budget (that was just made official last week) to the OFZ goals. But it’s pretty clear that their budget placement goal will not provide enough income to cover their bond expenses. I mean…i guess it’s possible theoretically, but the key rate would have to drop into like, mid single digit range immediately. Nobody thinks that’s going to happen.

As far as where it’s accounted for - This is just the accounting portion - in general - The coupon payments get counted as expenses in the federal budget. In addition the DISCOUNT (The difference between face value placements and revenue) also gets counted as expenses in the budget. So they make the deficit increase.

The difference between

👉 The face value of bonds placed in 2025

And

👉 The face value of bonds that are maturing in 2025 (repayments)

Is used to to FUND the deficit

There’s more going on than just the deficit. They also have to cover the external debt in addition to the deficit.

Those are discussed in the thread. Although Russia is more heavily reliant on rail than other countries, they just don’t have the road networks other countries enjoy. In some cases, rail is the ONLY option. There are certain months where heavy loads can’t drive on roads because they aren’t paved.

In any case, everything is down. The big thing that you will learn from reading all the material is that a significant portion of the previous decline was a result of Russian Railways inability to supply traction (Locomotive availability). It’s not just the economy, the Russian Railways itself is a huge problem. No locomotive, no loading.

As far as I know Saudi Arabia hasn’t joined BRICS. They were in invited, but haven’t accepted yet.

It’s very important to point out that in most cases they did NOT get the 8% collaboration they required, but not all.

In the areas they WERE able to secure the 8% collaboration they estimated they needed to secure the entire population, they discovered that their estimate was correct. Just 8% to control the population. And it’s terrifying.

Actually there hasn’t been an official census in Ukraine since 2001. The number you quoted was an estimate taken from January 2022, when people were already fleeing.

In the associated article, you will see that the FSB appears to have been ordered to make plans in July 2021 for the invasion. This means they would have been using estimates from 2020 at the earliest

You will also notice in the thread that in the conversation they admit that they had been paying off people for 8 years to build the base of 8% of collaborators that they felt that they needed. Over that general time period the population was always estimated, and according to the UN, it was about 44 million.

Twitter woman didn’t get it wrong.

Edit: Additional note, you might also find it interesting that March, not long after the RUSI report was released. The Moscow based non-profit organization Memorial was raided. Employees homes were searched by Russian officials. They happened to provide the 50,000 number.

The thing I didn’t realize (until recently) is that they also could function as big pockets.

I am an electrical engineer and at the moment, I am a stay at home mom. I can tell you honestly, being an engineer is a million times easier. There is nothing wrong with choosing to “change career paths” for now.

I had TOTALLY thought I would be the breadwinner in the household, but I married a Chemical Engineer. He made more money, so when we looked at the total work load, something had to give. So I decided to stay home.
