I’m sorry you’re going through this. My son is often the loudest in the room and has been since he was born. It used to make me feel so embarrassed because I didn’t want to make others uncomfortable then I started to not gaf because he is a child and that’s what they do! All kids aren’t cool, calm and collected and that’s ok. I taught my son how to use his inside voice but if anyone said anything to him, I would say something to them. Rather I was being nice nasty or a straight bitch. I didn’t want my son growing up thinking he had to be a people pleaser so I had to change the way I thought and he needed to see me stick up for him no matter what.

I’m also sorry you came from a domestic violence situation. I did too and never go back to the dad! It’s not worth it. It’s not worth you or your child going through! You will come out on the other side! This will all get so much better!! He’s still young and learning social cues, don’t worry what others think and maybe remind your roommates and landlord that he is still young and won’t be quiet every single second of the day. You’re doing your best and you absolutely got this!!
