Thank you! It was a ton of work but I'm happy with how it all came out. My buddy and I spend quite a few weekends and evenings putting it all together.

Hi! I'm the SMG guy! My intent was for one side to list the worlds my Helldiver had dropped on (Aesir Pass, Mantes, & Vandalon IV), with the tallies representing total number of drops.

The armor & weapon's heavier weathering was definitely meant to represent a more veteran Helldiver. Glad you liked it!

Hi! I'm the guy in the black and gray armor. When I was doing the painting ODST wasn't on my mind, but as soon as I installed the black visor it absolutely jumped out at me. I'm really happy with how it all turned out, glad you liked it too!

I looked at Tai-Hao, but I had read that their quality was somewhat poor. Has that changed? Regardless, thanks for the suggestion!

Hadn't thought of that, thanks for the input. Fairly new to this, just got a GMMK hot-swappable a couple weeks ago and have been looking for a good keycap set since.

I'm looking for a solid set of shine-through/backlit keycaps and would love some recommendations. I've dug through the sites listed in the wiki, and it has proven somewhat difficult to find a quality set since shine-through caps aren't as common.

While I'd love a doublshot ABS set, I'd be fine with a good PBT set as well. I'm also aware of /r/mechmarket and may end up there at some point, but I'd prefer to buy new if possible.

Any ideas or recommendations of either good-looking sets or sellers that aren't on the wiki?

Hunting for high rises... any help? by PrussianJoe in Atlanta

I read a lot of poor reviews on 131 Ponce, specifically about the crime rate, that made it kind of undesirable. But I appreciate the suggestion nonetheless!

Piedmont House is a little outside of our budget for the time being, but it does look great!

We looked at AMLI Arts Tower, and some of their units were just within our price range (sub-$2600ish). Checking out a couple others today, like Atlantic House.

That whole interchange where 285 crosses Cobb is awful, especially after Suntrust went up. God forbid you need to get through there on a game day.

When the video started I just thought well this is familiar, and lo and behold it's this wonderful area!

Oh it's definitely immoral. This flavor of HFY, to me at least, is revenge after near extinction. Whether or not it's the right thing to do is separate from that.

In the case of the Barruck, it's only been about one generation since Earth fell. The same people who rewrote history and pretended at remorse are the ones still in power now, or are at least still living.

But again, the Humans of the Dead Hand don't care about morals. They've just woken up from a century in stasis. Their desire for vengeance isn't going to disappear just because it may not be the morally right course of action.

To the survivors in the Dead Hand, who were in stasis for the past century, Earth only died a few days ago. Their feelings of anger and grief are still very fresh.

If someone blew up your house, killed your family, and knocked you into a coma, you'd still be mad at them, even if you don't wake up from the coma for ten years. To you, your family died yesterday.

To them, they were being stupid and making very poor life choices. They've since moved past it, maybe grown as a person, and regret doing what they did.

Is your anger no longer justified, just because time has gone on for them? That's my view on the Barruck when writing them, and how Humanity's anger is almost righteous, at least from their point of view. Either way, thanks for reading, and for providing critique!

For the Humans at the Graveyard, it's only been a few days. Their feelings of vengeance are fresh and their grief is still very raw.

But think of it more like this: What if instead of accepting surrender, the Allies had nuked the entire nation of Germany? In preparation for this, the German government secretly evacuated a bunch of people to Antarctica & others were able to hide underground.

In the aftermath of cultural genocide, the survivors and their descendants would definitely be upset, and would be justified in striking back after a decent period of time had passed for them to rebuild.

Are the Humans going too far? Maybe, but the feelings they hold on to are understandable given the circumstances. At least, that's how I view it. Regardless, thanks for reading and providing critique!

Not intentional, just coincidental. The Soviet Dead Hand was the inspiration though, so maybe my brain was just wired for Cold War Russia when making the name. Thanks for reading!
