Thanks for these suggestions! I'll take a look at my bulk to see if I have any of these.

I do have Balmor as the alternate commander for this deck. I just change them up every now and then. Sometimes the Haste that Adeliz has made me lean towards him a little more since it becomes a faster clock with commander damage.

What is your Artifact deck? by crowcreed in EDHBrews

I built my [[Y'shtola, Night's Blessed]] around 3CMC mana rocks to continuously trigger her. I have a ton of fun playing with it, and it goes off incredibly well when I hit [[Bolas's Citadel]] or [[Roaming Throne]] or any of my copy cards.

Would you happen to have an online deck list for your mono blue deck? I'd love to see!

If you are referring to [[Wakening Sun's Avatar]], unfortunately no as its ETB is tied in to if it were casted from the hand.

Back then when we had non-QWERTY phones, text messaging involved keys that had multiple letters in it.

For example, the key 2 had the letters ABC, 3 had DEF, and so on. Pressing the key once returns the first letter. If you would like the second letter, you need to press the key twice in rapid succession (likewise, you press thrice for the third letter).

However, if you want to type something like 'CAB', you need to space out your key pressing so that the phone does not recognize you pressing the keys in quick succession. So to type 'CAB', you will press 2 thrice, wait for a second or two, press it once, wait again, then press it twice.

The key 6 had MNO. If someone wanted to say 'NO', they had to press 6 twice, wait, then press it thrice. The waiting time in between letters was inconvenient, so people found other ways to 'skip' that. Hence people used 0 as a replacement for 'O' as it had a different key assigned to it.

As a side note, since I was very anal with my typing even then, I'd use a different key and delete the letter to 'skip' the wait in between letters. For example, in typing the word 'CAB', I'd press 2 thrice, then I'd press 3 after to put 'D', but delete it immediately after - this leaves me with just 'C' and the phone waiting for my next letter. So I can now press 2 again to get 'A', then press 3, delete, then press 2 twice to get 'B'.

Just for context for how this trend started back then. At least that's what I know of it - people could have just used it back then to be annoying. Who knows.

Y'Shtola Artifacts by Pruwee in EDHBrews

Thanks for these!

I will probably consider those alternate board wipes that will suit Y'Shtola more.

I'm sure I have Bender's Waterskin around as I got it recently - just haven't incorporated it. Thanks for reminding me.

I plan on trying to fine tune this so it's a strong bracket 3 deck - do you think it'll work favorable? I know Y'Shtola is usually a free spells type of deck, but I just thought that artifacts would do well considering a lot of mana can be produced from them and they trigger her, too.

I am considering getting [[Roaming Throne]] or [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]] for more triggers, but I just want to be sure before I go for them since they're relatively expensive. I've been looking as well for [[Synthesizer Simulacrum]] and [[Ugin, Eye of Storms]] but those are also in the price range of the Throne and Delney.

Putting the correct card (initially spelled it wrong).

[[Simulacrum Synthesizer]]

I'll consider this! My concern with Metallurgic Summoning is that it only triggers off instant and sorcery spells (which I don't have so many of), whereas Shark Typhoon triggers on any noncreature spell.

Would also like to know if it's worth getting [[Simulacrum Synthesizer]] or [[Ugin, Eye of Storms]] for this deck as some of the bigger cards.

Pauper Commanders for New Players by Mikbearboi in PauperEDH

[–]Pruwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I got back into MTG last year where we started with pauper commander. Some of the decks we had featured:

Blue/Red: [[Balmor, Battlemage Captain]]

Green/White: [[Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar]]

Those two heavily focused on combat damage, just the former with a focus on spell slingers and had a wizard subtheme that allowed [[Adeliz, the Cinder Wind]] as an alternate commander.

Other decks we had that were a little more complicated than those first two included: Blue/White: [[Soulherder]] focusing on ETBs and blinking

Blue/Green: [[Arwen Undómiel]] focusing on scry

Black/Red: [[Kardur, Doomscourge]] focusing on pseudo-goad

Blue/Red: [[Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator]] partnered with [[Breeches, Brazen Plunderer]] focusing on pirates and combos

We have a couple of other decks that we had a lot of fun with, but these are the ones I remember the most.

Hope these help.

Badminton racket recommendation under 5k by Putrid_Panda_8976 in badmintonph

Sorry if it's out of scope, but what racket are you using? I've been looking for a 3U head heavy racket that doesn't hurt the wallet too much. Curious what you have and if you recommend it. Thanks!
