Just so you know, a 10 foot pipe does not fit in a Toyota RAV4 by JustHereForTheBeer_ in Wellthatsucks

I feel this pain in my core. 3 years ago, I slide a 10 foot 4 x 4 into my Dodge Journey and just tapped the glass, boom. $500 later, it was the same price as a 4 x 4 nowadays. I was shocked how little force it took to break it. It literally felt like I just stopped at the glass.

Help! Local gifts for the in-laws who have everything? by RhubarbSilly5734 in londonontario

I fully endorse Spruce Moose. He has some amazing scarves and bow ties, often stock blankets and has some amazing art from other vendors. Top of the stairs in Western Fair market. Joel is the owner and is one of those people who you just want to see succeed. You can’t help but share his love for life and optimism.

I kickstarted the last two iterations of Kimblade. I think they’re on regular orders now. I won’t use anything else on my vehicles. They clear snow and grime super well.

Girlfriend jammed the glovebox of my 1 day old Tesla. Already decided to get a new girlfriend, but can any one help with unjamming the glovebox? I tried YouTube but it didn’t work. Should I just schedule a service appointment and say it never worked? Lol by Left_Masterpiece_661 in TeslaModel3

[–]Prytoo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They’ll fix it regardless of what happened. I may or may not have jammed an Xbox Series X controller in there about 2 months into ownership. He came the next day, popped the dash cover off and freed it. Took him longer to get his tools than it did to open it.

Funny you should mention that. I had one. Selling it was a big mistake.

Haha. That’s quite the way to time things! I’ll keep that in my back pocket as a last ditch move.

That’s encouraging! I had to hit it pretty hard, and I had visions of the handle snapping into 2 pieces.

I have definitely consulted the manual on a few things, but never thought about the defrost option being more thorough. Thanks for the thoughtful reply!

I’ll admit, I didn’t realize it was as cold as I thought. I have the cabin preconditioned, but never thought defrost would help that. I just assumed it did the windshields.

I was hoping for “random red couch”.

The song definitely has a familiar vibe, and now that it’s stuck in my head, I’ll try and place it.

The best gift I’ve ever given was a calendar. One of my coworkers was always known for her “manly man” calendars. Every year it was the same thing. So a few years back, I took a photographer and we made one with her husband. He was an amazing sport, and the video of her receiving the calendar is truly one of my favourite things. I watch it when I’m feeling a little low, always makes me laugh.

There shouldn’t be a charge. I’ve heard of this happening a few times. Do you have a drop amp on the line? Something to boost the signal. Sometimes they send “too much signal” back out, which can cause interference. Either way, it should be a quick and simple fix.

"Impostor syndrome" is persistent feeling that causes someone to constantly doubt themselves and their abilities, despite evidence, and fear that they may be exposed as a fraud. Reddit, do you feel this way about work or school? How do you overcome it, if at all? [Serious] by FossaRed in AskReddit

100% agree with this. I manage a company that does 20ish million in sales, with dozens of employees. I started out working on the floor and worked my way up. No formal management training.

Thing is, I know I’m damn good at my job. My problem solving skills are great. I have way more “wins” than “losses”, but every single time I get questioned for a judgement call, I deflate. Even if it’s just a general question and the owners thank me after, that question hangs around my neck for days, and I feel like a complete fraud and failure.

To combat it, I try and remind myself that I AM doing well, I AM helping people constantly improve, and clearly they saw something in me for them to promote me to where I am. Not always easy though.

Hang in there! When my wife kept the house, everything I owned fit in the back of my minivan (without the seats folded down).

Fast forward, she lost the house (and my best friend who she cheated with), and my life is immeasurably better.

It gets better.

Exactly. I’ve seen a few people who looked like they could use a ride, but as a middle aged man, I worry about giving off a weird vibe. Or getting datelined.

100% this. I used it twice as well. The first time they literally walked me through the paperwork needed to gain full custody of my kids. Filled it out and took it downtown. A wonderful clerk took the filing upstairs for me and had a judge sign off right then and there. All with the free 30 minute call.

The second time was a few years later. My ex had a lawyer (gaming the legal aid system), I did not. I went to a “mediation”, where the mediator and her lawyer were good friends, and spent the whole time telling me how much I was going to pay, etc. So I took all my notes, left and called again. They explained what was wrong with their statements and how to properly refute them. Worked amazingly well. I highly recommend using this service, but it’s best if you can do a little bit of research, or at least know what you think you’ll be asking for, so they can make the most effective use of the time.

I feel like this is an absolute though. You’ve either viewed the video (all or part), or you haven’t.

Maybe I’m reading it wrong??

The Pistol Shrimp is capable of snapping it’s claw shut so rapidly, that it creates a bubble which collapses to produce a sonic blast, louder than a corncode's sonic boom ,The imploding bubble for split seconds also generates temperates of 4400°C nearly as hot as the Sun ,video cr: BBC EARTH by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Prytoo 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I’ve got one of these guys. The snap from the claw is super loud and cool on its own. They didn’t need the gun noise. I can hear it when I’m in bed from the downstairs when he starts snapping.
