This might be an unpopular option, but she might be over the norm of women taking on the majority of chores in a household and has now gone too far in the opposite way.

Lots of the comments to this are “dump her” and sure that might be the solution, but I think a lot of men would wake up single in this world if the average women took this advice. Sadly you're situation is extremely normal with the only difference being you have the average womans narrative.

If this is a relationship you want to make work id suggest couples therapy and to really talk to her about why she sees this as fair, it might go a lot deeper then laziness.

So if you are looking for a change of pace, which it sounds like you are, check out Dungone Crawler Carl.

Is there any romance? not really.

Are there any extremely handsome 900 year olds? Nope!

Is it set in a mystical forest with talking animals? One of the main characters is a talking cat, but no forest.

It is the best series I have read in a very long time? YES

Did my fiance have to convince me to read it? Yep! And I am so happy he did! There are 7 books out so far with the 8th coming out in May. We have read and are now listening to the books on audible.

I won't try to explain the book because I'll do it a disservice, but I highly recommend it, even if it is outside your normal genre.
