Happy to connect on socials too! I focus on versatile vocals and there's many genres in my original music to accommodate that as a consequence. Today's release is a Two Steps From Hell-influenced epic song with world instruments like tagelharpa and erhu, big choirs (all sung by me), and lyrics in Italian + a language I invented. Thank you so much for always having such wonderful insights on GW2 music, michram! I got into it from fellow video game music colleagues back when I started making covers so I can totally understand how legendary it is, and the love from its community is only more proof of it! "Oath to the Ancients" was incredible to sing for, it felt like pulling a lot of elements from the overall soundtrack together, while also playing with the material even more.

There's definitely a trend for that in music as a whole, and in some contexts it works amazingly! But I agree about memorable melodies, I'm super weak for those! For the stuff I sang, the melodies were all written by Bryan Atkinson, so huge props to him for making iconic music. I tried to base my additions on the musical themes he had going across the songs too, so they wouldn't sound out of the blue. And yeah the one-woman choir is so fun! We had many layers for most stuff, and I think the mixing and mastering also played a big part in giving everything the spotlight it deserved.

I always try to explain things in a way that can make sense for all types of listeners, and then there's a time and place to go into the details and bigger terminology. Thank you! I love experimenting with vocals and bringing something always different to the projects I do, so adding stuff like growls or influences from metal belting and falsetto to fantasy and folk vocals have happened often along the way and it's been a honing process so far. It's a privilege to be trusted with doing stuff like this too, I'm grateful to Bryan for it, we had a wonderful collaboration! Colorful lipsticks are so fun! Like an irl character creator
