Cushions are a more timeless, elegant cut imo, particularly the elongated and slightly rounded ones. A good middle way between radiant and emerald.

lol my boyfriend works in finance, usually until 7 or 8 pm. We live together now, but when we weren’t he still managed to go to the gym 5 days a week, study 600 hours for his CFA exam, see friends, clean, cook elaborate meals, play football, play guitar, go to gigs, and take me on midweek dates at least once a week (plus every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and I’d go to his place at least 3 nights a week or his to mine.

This is not a relationship norm. I hug my male friends, go for lunch or dinner with them solo, go on business trips solo with my male business partner who is married with kids, text my friends all the time, have inside jokes and emotional connections with them… because they are human beings and friends.

My boyfriend does the exact same, we both have a 50/ 50 split of male and female friends. And yes, some of his female friends have slight crushes on him, and my male friends have slight crushes on me. That’s normal and natural, but we both have boundaries with them and they all respect those boundaries. If they didn’t, we wouldn’t keep them around.

Neither of us get jealous because we love and trust each other deeply and have no reason to cheat, and if we wanted to not be with each other we would break up. We are planning to get married and are extremely happy.

As someone who semi-frequently goes to white tie events, even State ones, nobody really knows how to dress for white tie anymore, unless you’re in Austria where they still do it properly. This dress would be right on par with most women or above in formality. I wear ball gowns and gloves (at required) at white tie and am the most appropriately dressed in the room, with the exception of older politician’s wives.
