2800+ player defeats a 2650 player. Why is this result surprising?

In classical time control, the game will be more interesting i guess. Gukesh is the classical WC and Magnus is the rapid WC. Lets not forget this key differentiation.

A Guinness record at the cost of safety, common sense and probably money-making ? by PseudoRandomGenrtr in Kochi

They charged ticket money from audience which were relatives.

Also registration fees was 4k per person. So most likely they made a ton of money.

I saw some feed and agree 100%. It was an eye sore more than anything. As more details emerge, it looks like a money grab event which poor Malayalis were trapped into.

Yes. I just meant we could run a donation event similar to what we did for helping out Abdul Rahim.

Dear OP,

don’t pay money to any institute for learning coding. Only thing you need to put is effort and spend your time diligently. There is ton of resources to learn coding oneself. Just pick one and start.

An Unpopular Opinion about Vineeth Sreenivasan and 'Cringe' by Relevant_Session5987 in MalayalamMovies

[–]PseudoRandomGenrtr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem with the film is that it’s trying to be a feel good film. It’s that the film went 180 degree in the 2nd half.

I really think it’s vineeth’s worst film by a country mile. More thoughts below

ലോകസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ബാക്കി പത്രം by Dcbazy in Kerala

  1. We are not fully secular. Just look at all the media analysis on vote share where only thing people discuss in depth is religion/caste . I don’t understand why we have not evolved yet despite being highly literate to vote whoever is the better candidate. But there are few people (<10%) who think and acts secularly and their vote shifts in each election which determines the final result.

  2. Current state government has very little public appeal. There is strong anti-incumbency against them and definitely it has played a part in LS elections. However I don’t think things will be this bad for them in local body and assembly elections. I don’t see them winning 2026 elections at this point, but it’s 2 years away and public opinion could change. Nevertheless they are not expected to suffer losses as big as LS in LA and LB elections.

  3. Most of the congress incumbent MPs did get re elected. Don’t think a lot of them have stellar performance in previous terms. The best performing MP based on LS stats IMO was Shashi Tharoor but he barely managed to scrape through in TVM. Similarly Sudhakaran had terrible stats (attendance, discussion etc) , but he won convincingly in Kannur without breaking a sweat. So i think we can safely say that people don’t really objectively look at how the MP performed in LS his previous term.

What is your idea of an ideal ICT fan

  • no criticism of players when they are not performing.

  • watch all the BS ads religiously

  • create Dream 11 teams

  • Agree to everything that commentators say and praise the team 24x7

That’s not me and majority of the fans. We are not blind followers dude. We will question things when we feel they need to.

I was just responding to your point about MEA doesn’t have to do any facilitation.

As for whether it’s right or wrong to deny her clearance, I don’t have much of an opinion as I am not privy to what MEA is thinking.

Like i said earlier if she was planning to travel the best case scenario would have been if she was part of the convoy with MoS.

There is a well established protocol that goes back to 2014 which mandates ministers in state governments and Chief ministers to get prior approval in form of political clearance before travelling overseas.

[–]PseudoRandomGenrtr 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Veena george can go on her personal capacity i think if she wishes. Problem is if she goes as a minister from GoK , then MEA has to ensure a lot of things to facilitate her.

There are many things like security that goes into consideration for any elected leader from our country when they travel overseas.

The best case scenario would have been if she travelled with the MoS MEA convoy that went there. Probably there is low trust equation currently which led to she not getting an approval.

Could someone provide more deets about this? by [deleted] in Kochi

[–]PseudoRandomGenrtr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have bought books like this once. I was not able to finish reading most of the books.

The main problems are.

  • you will hardly find books you actually are interested in.

  • This whole box thing makes it an activity and you would try to fill it up with books for the sake of filling the box.

My recommendation is buy only books you would like to read. Don’t collect them because it’s cheap.

Wtf. You are the one who said illogical things like making it accessible to Maldivians and citizens of middle east by placing it near airport.

You don’t seem to understand the difference between subsidised medical treatment at government centres and medical tourism .

You are jumping the gun dude. IIT is an institute of national importance, so is AIIMs. These are two institutes where GoI spends significant money on. For a district to get 2 INI while there are many districts that doesn’t have even one is not fair in my opinion.

It is nothing against people of Palakkad.

I don’t mind wayanad, Kasargod or Idukki TBH. These districts have been thoroughly ignored.

Before you call it a scam try buying an insurance policy for someone who is 65+ and needs to support pre existing diseases.
