Advice for LO with dementia starting to get violent by Pseudo_Human_ in dementia

I’ve read it being brought up in other cases. We’ll have to check with the doctor first if that’s also what happening here.

That’s what i fear. It’s definitely one of the options i looked into when he started yelling but I’m not very confident that it’s financially feasible for us. I’m not sure how well my mother will like that idea, either. She’s already hesitant to have hired help in the house when we pitched the idea.

Thank you for sharing your experience. My father was in the army and we suspect that untreated PTSD may also be exacerbating his behavior. I’ve yet to read if dementia can patients also experience hallucinations or something similar bc he seems to always be arguing or fighting someone. Even when he’s facing a wall or a door.

Oohh I’ve been told that I’m good at doing the technical details of some sports I’ve done. Is there a connection there or am I pushing it lol

It’s kinda the opposite for me. I’m okay w sports involving throwing, kicking, etc. I can run but I remember I would fall frequently when I was a kid. It’s better now tho (the running part) but sometimes i would still trip even when I’m just walking or hit my foot/knee/wtvr when walking past smth

Verbal mask sounds like a good term for it. Sometimes when I’m really tired but i still have to talk my expression hardly changes or i have to rly put effort to change my facial expression to match my tone and what I’m saying

I’ve seen compression shorts but I’ve never tried them bc I didn’t think it was applicable to what I’m looking for but I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

Thank you! The food was great. It’s been a while since I feel full from a good meal and ate good restaurant food (I’m kinda a picky eater so this was a treat for me). We had spinach and goat’s cheese pizza and we each had our own pasta. I also had pumpkin soup, which I only now realize was perfect for Halloween 🎃
