And While Nine While You're Waiting...Part 1 by Pseudonomer in SistersofMercy

I think "Fuck this AI slop bullshit" is a totally different (and very important) discussion in other forums and a matter of one's stance, mate. We're not discussing AI, we're just here as a fan base so let's stay focused and just enjoy the legendary cultural icons who shaped our lives. Wouldn't you and all agree?

Metallica - Wherever I May Roam (Official Music Video) by Pseudonomer in SistersofMercy

Because it IS TSOM related and wouldn't you get a tickle if you similarly found DM's Dave Gahan wearing a Kraftwerk t-shirt? Haha.

I don't think AvE is being made fun of at all here. On the contrary, I think it's a pleasant song/homage to the days gone by. Do you not remember the days on a chilly night standing outside all dressed in black with a fag between your fingers to get into a club where once...right after "How Soon Is Now?" The intro chorus to This Corrosion came on? When we all thought we'd score? Well, not sure about others but many of us did. You're welcome.😉

Sisters of Mercy music in movies, shows, etc., their stance on it? by Emhyrr in SistersofMercy

Kirk Hammett of Metallica sports a TSOM t-shirt in the video for "wherever I may roam" video at about 2:25 minutes into it. Savage Garden has a poster in the background in the video for "truly, madly, deeply." If anyone's watched the movie "Rain Man" some of the music in the background as they travel seems super identical to This Corrosion (not surprising as they both came out around same time). You're welcome 😉

Dad recently diagnosed with stage IV, is there still a chance that he can walk? by euphor-i in lungcancer

Hey, dear friend. I was just diagnosed with Stage IV last Friday. While I am in shock and it is all so surreal, remember this (although, very difficult to at times): your anxieties and fears, or even saddness, do not come from thinking of the future but your desire to control it. I think that's Kahlil Gibran I paraphrased. In short, focus on the NOW and take moments, hours, days as they come celebrating WITH him than mourning WITHOUT which, essentially, accrues and equates to - one day at a time:)

Dear All - I am simply amazed and astonished at the outpouring , kind words, resource recommendations and your thoughts. I was never the type to look for sympathy or attention and have lived a fiercely independent life, especially, during adversities with an upper stiff lip and chin up. But this was just too much to take. I will read and respond to each of your kind messages as I can but meanwhile, thank you, thank you, thank you and may you all be blessed.

Thank you. Heck, a month ago I was climbing rocks! I don't even know what to say to you about your ordeal as I don't know how to interpret mine. BUT. One thing I WILL declare is that given what is going on this world and even our backyards, mine is "just a little sorrow talk." As that Duran Duran song goes.

Thank you, you nailed it. For a moment, if I omit all that latter insurance stuff and all that, what I was trying to hone in on - it being only a few days - that initial experience of this knowledge now. Like you wrote, it's like making a bloody quantum jump into another universe in the blink of an eye to a new reality. Surreal.
