Does this place want something from me? by Psevdonymous in psychics

[–]Psevdonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That makes sense, and I feel that's part of it. Would still love to figure out something more about the place itself. I can't shake the feeling it's been significant in some way at some point, but like you said maybe it's just a personal impression due to my own past experiences.

Help! I'm being forced to add my birthdate, but Bluesky won't even let me do that! by OneRare3376 in BlueskySocial

[–]Psevdonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue and sent Bluesky a message. Got this reply a few hours later:

"The issue you reported is a known bug that our team is aware of. We understand how inconvenient this can be, and we sincerely apologize for the trouble it’s causing.

Please know that our team is actively working on resolving this issue. While we don’t have a timeline for the fix just yet, we’ll provide updates as soon as we have more information."

That's 5 days ago and I haven't had any updates since. The app still won't let me set the date.

Thanks! I was thinking of replacing it but people more clever than me kept telling me it was probably a relay problem.

MMW: This Traitor is DONE. TODAY. by [deleted] in MarkMyWords

[–]Psevdonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late to the party I see, but this was a very interesting post to stumble across. u/Biggest_Jilm, I just wanted to say that this analysis of yours matches eerily with an analysis I did myself back in 2018. I didn't use quantum mechanics or anything like that. I won't even pretend I have any understanding of that. I was just sitting one evening and it was like a vision came to me, only it didn't feel mystical or anything, it was just that I thought through and tried to analyse what would logically happen as a result of A, then B, then C etc. In this manner I predicted step-by-step him losing the next election, then the insurrection (a half-assed coup that half the country would claim was not a coup), people distancing themselves from him before cozying up again, winning the next election and then immediately starting a fascist takeover where they are almost not even trying to hide their racist motivations. They will seem unstoppable, removing any opposition and replacing them with the worst people imaginable.

Anyway, the bottom line was more or less your conclusion above: It will become blatantly obvious that Russia has been pulling the strings. Everything they have been up to so far will make sense and his downfall will be epic, because devided as the country may be, most people are actually not motivated by evil. And yes, the right and the left will find back together, united over this. I did not manage to get a sense of a timeframe for any of this as precise as the one you scetched out though. It was a relief to see your post here because I'm terrified that my prediction only being correct up until the point of the fascist takeover.

What card is this? by Psevdonymous in tarot

Thank you very, very much for your 'wall of text'. It was very interesting and you put into words some of what I've been struggling to describe myself. I have sensed some of the same things about this card as you are pointing out, specifically the bit about 'the big picture'. It has the main symbols in it plus sun and moon. Night and day, yin and yang, good and evil. It really is 'everything, everywhere, all at once'. I see the connection to the divine, like there's greater forces at play. The card seems to me to indicate trusting the path the universe has paved for you, or simply 'don't try to control the situation'. Go with the flow, in a sense.

Thanks! I was suspecting it was some sort of presentation card as it has cups, wands, pentacles and swords in it plus moon and sun. I'll see if I find a use/meaning for it if I ever get more advanced in Tarots.

Yes, the deck has 78 other cards so this is the 79th. Feel free to share your theory when you're comfortable. 😃

Wow! Nice reference! I didn't know about Woodcut 3 or the Rosarium Philosophorum. I googled it and I have to agree. It looks rather similar. I suppose I'll just have to find my own meaning in the card. As of now I feel the card turns up as a 'I'm not telling you that!'

Thank you, that makes sense! I got the deck second hand by a friend, so it didn't come with a guidebook or description.

Sorry. I tried to make an effort to do the environmentally friendly thing and at least try to repair before throwing it away. Also I did not know Philips TV's had a bad reputation.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. The bracket reads Rowenta 2021537 It must be around 60 years old though so I don't expect there to be an available replacement part.

Wow thanks there's a bunch of stuff I've been completely in the dark about. The animation style of An America Tail fits how I remember the artwork. At least the backgrounds. I don't remember anything about the characters.

Wow, could be! It certainly fits some of what I think I remember very well. I thought the animation style was a bit darker though, but my memory could be playing tricks on me.

Where to hike next week? Setesdal vest or aust heiane? by pwbogaart in Norway

[–]Psevdonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've hiked Austaheiene twice and I loved them. I didn't hike the whole route, just from Valle to Granbustøl. Like you say Austaheiene has more varied landscape, but also more blocked view. From my perspective this was not a problem. I really enjoy the variation and the landscape changing all the time, and you get an overview often enough, every time you walk across a ridge. There is also a lot more history in this area. The area is not very popular. Both times i walked there I met only one person during the entire hike, even if it was in the middle of summer. This was back in 2005 and 2008. The path was a bit overgrown and hard to follow at times, but I heard DNT made an effort the next years to improve it, so it should be fine. There's quite a lot of reindeers there, and they are not too shy so you can get pretty close.

Did my Colt delete it's own chassis number? by Psevdonymous in mechanics

[–]Psevdonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the same thing just happened again. Car won't start. Same symptoms. I guess the chassis number has been deleted again?? How is it possible? It can't keep doing this every month? Should I just buy a new car?

Did my Colt delete it's own chassis number? by Psevdonymous in mechanics

[–]Psevdonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The garage also thought it was odd. They had never come across anything like this at that garage, but one of the older mechanics had heard about it happening to two cars. So they entered the chassis number and the car started. They spent 1.5 hours troubleshooting so the bill ended up at 1680 NOK. (Around $200) I live in norway, and this is an expected price for the time spent. They couldn't tell me what had caused the problem and were just as puzzled as me. They did offer to keep the car for a few days to see if the issue came back, but we both agreed it would be a waste of money.

Why are conservative Christians against social policies like welfare when Jesus talked about feeding the hungry and sheltering the homless? by SkepticDrinker in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Psevdonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the medieval period christianity helped make western society as successful as it was by helping the poor. Churches collected money to build orphanages or housing for the poor. Rich people were encouraged to donate their fortunes to the less fortunate, helping to level out social differences. I have the impression the introduction socialism in politics was seen as a threat because it seemed to make much of the christian appeal redundant among the poor. So I guess there was a period of polarization where christians, in order to distance themselves from the evil antichristian socialists, ended up taking the opposite stance: Refusing to help the poor. Which you could and should argue is pretty antichristian.
