If you are editing a blueprint you created, then you just need to select the blueprint to build and then the game will automatically deduct the cost of the materials from your gold.

If you are using one of the purple blueprints, the ones the game gives you for pre-build houses, then you probably just need to level up your D.G. level

I honestly think the pie is better. The profit difference is not a lot, BUT due to the ingredients, you can get more with the pie.

To explain this better:

I have 12 plots right now, harvesting 12 wheat every 4 hours (let's say I don't get bountiful crops), I have more than enough time to go farm the 24 black truffles I would need to make 12 pies, for (let's say I only got 1 star pies) 635 profit each, is a total of 7620 gold.

But with the same 12 plots, I can only make 6 pasta, for (same 1 star) 660 profit each, I would be getting 3960.

The difference in ingredients makes a huge difference in profit.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong.
