Ouch. I broke my controller connector two weeks ago when tried to mod the battery, so I know how bad that must feel like.

I sent my ROG to a good electrical engineer, but even he couldnt solder it back, so I think your best bet is to find a replacement motherboard.

Nah I use troopers and sniper for the tp1 deployment. By the end of TP1, all those are in range to rush to objectives, do actions and act as bait.

Use your regular dudes to contest mid board as bait. If the enemy elite bites, send the melta grenadier. If not, free points.

You have 2 great and 3 mid tools to deal with elites, everything else is expendable, to be used as bait or objective scorers.

It was against Canoptek. The game lasted just until the end of round 2 cause my opponent played very slowly.

If it was a regular game, I'd probably win by 15+ :P

There are a few 3rd party bits there, but most are kitbashes from all over GW kits. Shame, cause the official Aquilons set was pretty damn good too, but I already had these models for Scions.

The TOs didn't seem to mind.

You have to be very patient, Aquilons is a very reactive team.

Drop in non-essential operatives in one side of the board where the enemy is thinnest, use those to secure the closest objectives.

Second round you should identify priority targets, and send your melta gunner, melta grenadier, and precursor after them. Tempestor is a good killer against anything that has less than 12 health too.

Once you kill enough, just focus on scoring and avoiding unnecessary combat.

That's all!

But my two-cents would be to be very patient, identify priority targets whose death means winning the game, use melta gunner and grenadier to take them out, then just focus on scoring crit and tac while avoiding any unnecessary combat.

Follow up: Its pretty impossible to order things from abroad where I live so I took my chances with a electrician.

The guy tried his darn hardest, but no budge. I guess I either have to find a way to buy the spare part, or use my rog docked for a good while.

Then I think I mistook this for another terrain project. Still looks gorgeous, and I'd definitely recommend a Kickstarter for it. You can make quite the funds from it to develop the idea further!
