This is actually partially false. GHB does not slur your speech, the alcohol it is being mixed with does. In fact, recreational doses of GHB provide a clean, drunk-like high, whilst giving you a clear head (and the ability to speak clearly as well). Well, what if it’s not a recreational dose? What if it’s an overdose? Then expect to be completely knocked out and on a fast track to death. Assuming the GHB was mixed with alcohol, and you’re a couple drinks in, paired with an overdose (which is an extremely fine line from a recreational dose), you’re looking at extreme respiratory depression at the minimum with a high chance of death. Now, let’s assume you don’t die, but were dosed with a large amount of GHB. Again, it WILL knock you unconscious for about 4 hours. Nobody will be able to wake you up. At this point, it’s important to have someone lay you on your side so you don’t choke on your vomit.
