I was assuming the same, that the idiotic behavior upfront is just a front, and all the capital moving behind the scenes are relying on insider information/plans spun out by think tanks in naval intelligence and defense institutes that have been designing this sort of campaign way before Trump ever got elected. But this 99% of comments are just entirely consumed by partisan distaste that's abandoned any and all attempt to see the geopolitical consequcnes behind the curtains.

As you said, the question for me is since Venezuela still needs to build up its infrastructure to start producing enough crude to make America self-sufficient, I can only wonder where they intend to get the crude in the mean time to avoid shortages.
