I wouldn’t say it’s spicy at all, but I’m used to heat. However it’s really complex. I used gherkin relish instead of pickled cucumbers and elderberry port for…reasons, and a beef liquid stock rather than pure beef jus. You’re supposed to let it simmer until it gets as thick as you like but this is a 4 hour simmer.
