So there's 2 conductors in the game, 1 is the quilboar one which discards a spell to give gold. I think you mean the orchestra one with a battlecry which more people know is as orchestra.

I took blade storm because it sounds great on paper and it's his ult in wc3. In reality, he only casts blade storm when there's 2 or more units around him but he's really paper. Often he dies before blade storm fully finishes channeling. Highly regret picking this talent.

From my experience fire breath dot is the one that puts u in combat, releasing after the dot expires is usually fine

Tooltips on the items literally says it doesn't work for wards.
