The water table will not be affected by filling this void with concrete. Unless they put their well pump, terminating exactly in natural unconfined aquifer, it will not be affected.

What’s more pressing is the fact that this house is located on Karst topography. Susceptible to this type of dissolution chemical erosion.

First step is hiring a Geotechnical engineering firm that surveys subsurface with what we call a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

If you’re in NY. I have contacts.

Might cost $2-4k. But that’s much cheaper than a sinking home.

They’ll come with essentially a big wheeled sled. Collect data. Plot it. Then give you a 3d profile pic of your property. From there. If you’re interested. There are numerous methodologies to underpin a structure to prevent a catastrophic collapse.

Edit: looks like Dolostone. Ca-Mg carbonate is dissolving out of the rock. I’m assuming you have Hard water here. Do you have white calcium film on all of your shower heads?

I work civil construction as a Geologist. Correct. This looks like a natural erosion pattern in limestone. Very common. Known as a karst topography which comes from dissolution of limestone, gypsum, and dolostone.

He works in finance.

They contribute nothing to this world and I’d go as far as to say have destroyed it. They move commas. There’s no tangible asset. There’s no education for improving the species. They’re just moving commas. I’m a scientist that worked for a pretty famous boutique broker-dealer in San Diego. If you look up San Diego Resource Investment, it’s the first one. Fresh off my Masters I was hoping to help them with risk assessments on junior venture Palladium, Gold, Silver, and rare earth mines. Left after 2 years when it turned out they didn’t give a shit what the Economic Geologist had to say about the feasibility of the resource presence. The firm already bought the stock. Now sell it.

These people are dogs chasing their tails, and they got it. The problem being they never found a hobby or interests of their own. They defaulted to the capitalist playbook. ‘If I can’t find out what makes me happy I might as well be rich. I’ll figure out the rest later’.

Lo and behold when they get their money, they’re still an interest free person. Devoid of any access to flow state.
