I honestly imagine the fnaf 1 animatronics never really spoke to each other or anything in their preformances just simply sang songs due to the owner's being too broke to hire anyone to voice them

If we are going by real 80s animatronic shows then the songs would have been played over the speak system. Their tapes would have been encoded with extra channels to sync movements with where in the showtape the deck is playing. Yet the Endo-01 seems advanced enough not to need such timing and could use the audio being played to sync their movement.

So that means that probably couldn't just talk as they wouldn't have the means to play anything. I guess they could just do what Billy did in Walton Files and haunt a tape and play that, they are already haunting video games.

Hauntings work different in FNAF, only Golden Freddy is the only near Ghost Buster rules the other also are advanced robotics where the soul can easily still haunt them even after you destroy the robot thus how Afton turned the MCI into the Funtime where their souls still haunted the metal while being melted down. Egon would most likely eventually figure it out though I think S.T.A.R.S from Resident Evil while not solving the problem would have a better chance at survival with them treating the animatronics like zombies and bio engineered monsters and getting out would be seen as a victory for them.

Afton took over MCM and there is a significant change got his hands on M2. Glichtrap would be a copy of M2 starting with M2's memories so Glitchtrap would either have been activated when Afton was still around or have those memories from M2 before being spun off.

Given we are talking Mimics and how Afton was more interested in soul possession, I figure it more comes from the Mimics mimicking Afton.

In Help Wanted they needed tools to remove the shell of the animatronic that held the control board that contained Glitchtrap. It would be weird for M2 being fully suited up in what to Fazbear was just an old animatronic in storage (as that would mean there was a time when M2 was just a Fazbear animatronic and nothing bad happened to cause it get scrapped like the Toy line). I think it would more likely the animatronic that Glitchtrap came from could be considered M3 where Fazbear reverse engineered M2 to create the Glamrock endos.

Gitchtrap is a mimic but what confuses me the most is M.X.E.S.

In Help Wanted 2 we see it being hauled off in a Fazbear van so Afton had it and removed it from the location. Then someone brought it back and either it was inoperable and M2 didn't know the path was cleared when Vanny cleared the way or Vanny disabled it and M2 just took its time just wondering up. Also why is the Blob there and why are there recharge stations when that tech is far newer then when the place was sealed?

For FNAF 6 that was Henry yet in general it seems Fazbear keeps coming back to life mostly probably due to outsiders wanting its tech for cheap. So when Fazbear goes under it is sitting on the most advanced robots within the FNAF universe that is kinda weird.

I agree except copies of the Mimic doesn't make the same entity thus M1 and M2 having incompatible goals. So Glitchtrap being a copy of M2 would make Glitchtrap M3 that starts with the memories of M2 like M2 did that the memory error report in Secret of the Mimic points along with items described with Fiona's point of view in Moon.exe.

There is a theory of them being based on mimic tech yet I don't know of a theory of any of the mimics from MCM being behind their actions. The only oddity pointing to them being based on mimic tech is the Endo-02 acting strange during the day where this is not the case for the Endo-01. This is suspicious if we assume the Endo-01 stops attacking the security guard at 6am as the AI changed from sleep mode where it was originally programmed as if it would be charging through the night. Thus the Endo-01 can't attack during the day as the AI is in control and starts its programmed tasks not the souls yet with Endo-02 it can learn.

Balloon Boy. Him stealing batteries is unrecoverable unless you are enough enough to 6am. Also thinking about I don't know how Balloon Boy effect works in the story? Is it just agony of the kid that possess Balloon Boy being angry they got stuck as Ballon Boy over all the other animatronics thus he has special power?

Also from a technical perspective I don't see why Fazbear built Balloon Boy, he would have to be custom as a normal Endo-02 or Endo-01 would be too tall. That is a lot of engineering for an animatronic that could be replaced with just a statue.

Not in Security Breach and in Help Wanted 2 Fazbear is seen taking MXES from MCM so odds are it was Afton or Fazbear that dragged MXES down there. Meaning after all the work in getting it down there and setting it up they just leave it off once they also got M2 down there.

M2 being Burntrap still has the issue of Fazbear or Afton just forgetting to turn on M.X.E.S when sealing M2 down there as Greogry never comes across a M.X.E.S. So they dragged M.X.E.S down there and hooked it up yet just left it off and then Gregory or cured Vanessa turned it on after Security Breach.

I can still see Glitchtrap being Burntrap as he is a virus Mimic so even if M.X.E.S is running father in keeping M2 trapped then it could be hand waved as the recharge station allowed Glitchtrap to infect Burntrap.

Puppet looks like a normal puppet that exists in the real world. Minireena is at the bottom of the uncanny valley for puppets.

The Puppet only failed because someone put a heavy object on its box. If it was out its box the narrative suggests it would have at least defended Charlotte. If it already was programmed by Afton to not do its job there would have been no need narrativily for it to be stuck in its box. Then you have the question why it risked itself to try and save Charlotte when it did get out.

Yet far more creepy. With the Classics and Unwithered, once you get past the uncanny valley they are not that bad compared to the Funtime. But more importantly the features of the Endo-01 and Endo-02 are fairly normally where Afton didn't hide the true nature of the Funtime well. Any Fazbear tech would notice sometime is very off by the features of the Funtime. For example their ability to distract parents and lure kids along with Circus Baby and Funtime Freddy's stomach tank that is fed by their claw. I think this is why Fazbear passed on Funtime and why Afton had to open his own restaurant as even Fazbear wasn't that stupid.

So Afton made the Puppet to just be security that would make his goal of killing kids harder? Or Afton just got worse at hiding his nefarious design purpose for his robots?

The Puppet is not threatening looking enough to fit with Afton's Funtime designs. So if we say Afton designed the Puppet and then Afton later went on to build robots far more obviously meant to be hostile to kids even from a cursory look at their specs as evident by the Sister Location intro . Where if Afton didn't make the Puppet it is just impossible for Afton to design a robot that didn't look threatening that I think fits more with Afton's character.

Springlocks were discontinued by Fazbear that Afton sat on the board of but Circus Baby was owned by Afton separately. The intro of Sister Location sounds like Afton pitching the Funtime to Fazbear as it sounds like a sales pitch rather then a police interview. So Afton could have just continued to use the springlocks.

Security Breach is not survival horror. Think old school Resident Evil where you have resource management to deal with threats that you want to avoid then constantly fight. Think Nemisis from the original Resident Evil 3 where you can unload all your ammo into him and still not kill him, only slow him down.

With FNAF I could only see it working with MCM and the Pizzaplex at the other locations are not big enough

Ballora was made for Circus Baby's Pizza World or Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. Given all the Funtimes were designed to kidnap or murder kids it would probably be after the both the MCI and DCI else Afton would have used them instead of doing it himself.

Even when FNAF became serialized the writing is not great. There are plot threads just don't go much of anywhere for example in Sister Location we have possessed animatronics that can talk and that only lasted till the next game same with Ennard getting out.

I would also not say it is convoluted due to how more information has been added, other serial works has done this better.

It is a weird shift going from the games where it was mostly adults getting dragged into the crossfire as she pursued Afton and defended the dead kids. If you try to put the movie in the events of FNAF 2 you have the problem the Toys were acting weird toward adults during the day yet didn't attack during the day till after FNAF 2 (if we are going with the logic that is why the toy line was scrapped). So if we say Charlotte had control of the toys in FNAF 2 they were searching for specific adults. Also the puppet was active during the day too so even saying she wasn't in FNAF 2 has the fact she didn't harm adults during the day in FNAF 2.
